Ok thanks mate, first person to give me proper advice in 24 hours. I have no idea what the problem is; I've got JayLib too. edit: tried Spirited Machine - used all the addons I regularly use in my mod-line and I get missing file after error after missing file. Most prominent of which is the "No entry ' bin\config.bin/Cfgsurfacecharacters.CRGrassWClutter'." error.

So nobody can help me? Does anybody at least know where I can find help? Thanks.

Can somebody hazard a guess please? Sort of in desperate need, relatively speaking.

Yeah I know, nevertheless it doesn't work. I don't really know what to do, it's just common sense to come to that conclusion because when I launch it via PlaywithSIX (which automatically launches ACE with ACRE and server-relevant addons) it works fine. The only drawback is that I can't or rather don't know how to load my weapon add-ons with PlaywithSIX hence why I'm trying to get it to work via shortcut. Hmm. @Wolf5: hmm, I've seen that solution somewhere but I don't think there was a step-by-step guide and I'm not sure how to complete the process. Could anybody offer any assistance with this? I don't believe I have any conflicting plugins since I re-installed earlier and I've never downloaded any plugins other than ACRE.

When I launch the game with that mod-line I've already enabled Jayarma2lib, ACRE and all of my other ACE associated adds-on via the expansion menu in-game; ACRE is the only one that doesn't seem to work though. edit: Basically ACRE isn't appearing on the top right of the main-menu even though it's enabled in expansions. The other mods I've enabled do appear. edit: Do I have to have place ACRE in a specific place in my command line perhaps?

Hey guys, the mod's awesome and all but after re-installing it earlier I can't seem to get it to connect to ARMA 2. I'm running TS as admin etc etc, so should I downgrade TS version? I'm not very well versed in tech and such so I'd appreciate anybody providing any advice to me to act like I'm a toddler. Thanks. I launch OA via steam shortcut, my modline is 'steam://rungameid/33930 -mod = @CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@ACE;@ACRE;@ACEX;@ACEX_RU;@ACEX_USNavy;@ACEX_SM;'. I've activated ACRE through expansions. Got a feeling it has something to do with the mod activation as it works fine when I launch the game through PlaywithSIX.

Nope, I get the error message when I launch OA without modline. Ok. I've fixed that problem somehow but now I'm getting the error message 'Include file - addons\main\script_eventhandlers.hpp not found'. I've looked around for solutions for this and I have the latest CBA addons; still nothing. Thanks. Damn. I really need help here guys, every time I try to launch ARMA no matter how or via what launcher I get a different missing file every time. I'm in completely over my head here...

Full error message is 'Data file too short 'c:\program files(86x)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\addons\anims.pbo'. Expected 650211804 B, got 645529600 B'. I installed ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead around 9 months ago and have been exploring the various mod communities since. Recently I foolishly messed up a download for an addon and rather than attempt to fix the problem I decided it would be easier and quicker to simply re-install both games. After installation I'm faced with this error message which I've never seen before. As somebody who is not too well versed in tech it baffles me that this can occur after a completely fresh re-installation. Sorry for the inconvenience but any suggestions or solutions are going to have to be taught like I'm a toddler as this sort of thing doesn't come easy to me. Also, for your information I have searched thoroughly for an answer to this problem and have found numerous posters who have had similar problems. The problem is everybody has different levels of understanding of tech and these people usually cut corners and have a much better understanding than I - hence why I have made a new topic. Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate any help you could give me, and please ask if there is any information I could provide that could help you help me. Thanks.
