I have looked for about three hours now for a solution to my problem, to only find answers that do not work for me. I was extremely excited to play ArmA II but I cannot say the same now. Anyways At the start up of ArmA everything is fine. But once I enter anything that involves any actual gameplay I get this horrible static sound. Making the game unplayable. The sound only occurs when the effects volume is on. If the effects volume is fully off the sound doesnt happen, but as soon as I turn up the effects volume (even just one click) the static is as loud as ever. All of my drivers are up to date so don't ask.
Solutions I have tried:
-turning my speaker output to stereo.
-Adjusting the audio frequency i.e. control panel (24-bit I get the static sound, 16-bit I get a popping sound instead of the static.)
-Turning effects volume down
Specs
OS: Win 7 64-bit
CPU: i3 2120
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850
MOBO: Asus P8B75-V B75 chipset (Sound card is realtek)
Help would be appreciated ASAP Thanks!
