  1. No problem in ArmA 2 so far, but in Operation Arrowhead I get "double" shadows arround infantry men's feet and vehicle wheels. Also object shadows from trees and mountains flicker at a constant rate of 1 flicker per 0.5 to 1.0 sec. It looks as if the engine cannot decide what shadows to use (and in the case of the infantry men and vehicle wheels it uses two kinds of shadows together). I've read the engine renders shadows via cpu or gpu, but could it be a bug that it switches between both rendering systems? I've tried all possible options available in the UI, but the problem persists. In ArmA 2 everything looks ok. But when I activate an ArmA 2 mission via Operation Arrowhead, the bug returns. The bug however did not manifest itself in the Operation Arrowhead standalone demo on Steam, so there are probably two different engine versions used. I am using an nVidia GTX660Ti with the latest nVidia driver. UPDATE : PROBLEM SOLVED I disabled ambient occlusion in my general 3d-setting on the nVidia control panel and the strange "bug" has dissappeared.
