I need to play this COOP!!!!

I've already run into Steam issues. I'm just not making a big fuss out of it. You guys need to stop acting like Steam is spyware that will eat your game.

AFAIK You can't do that If you are mostly playing DayZ, you can download DayZ commander, because it has both of those features and it's pretty nice.

Disease? Steamworks will only make the game better. And you have to understand, that BIS didn't use Steam because they wanted to, but because they needed to. What reasons? Millions of people use Steam, and none of them complain. If it's such a problem to make a Steam account, maybe you really should consider not playing Arma 3. You don't have to be such a crybaby...

I don't think so. But it doesn't really matter, since modders will probably remake it ;)

They would also need to find out the email/email password of the user. If you have Steam Guard enabled, whenever you login from a different PC, Steam will ask for a code that is sent to your email.

This is a very bad way to manage an Alpha/game IMO No open Alpha? No MP in Alpha? No mods in Alpha? WTF BI?

Why do you even need VAC? BE bans the same way! The only difference is that VAC is useless :p

I don't see that many snipers. Most people still tend to be Engineers. The nade and tank spam is normal since the fights become a mess, once alot of people fight in small bases! Jet rocket pods are a bit annoying, but they can be countered with AA.

You compare a Steam account to a chip implant? Really?! Is it such a problem to make a Steam account? What's even the differece? You can play offline, you can buy a DVD, mods are easier to install and you can play with friends easier. If it's such a problem to make an account on Steam, a service millions use, maybe you should consider moving away from PC gaming... seriously... BI stated that they couldn't make a 2013 release without this decision. Using Steam will only help BI make a better game and make life easier for us

What can happen? If you get falsely banned by VAC (which Arma 3 won't probably use) they will lift it. Vulnerable to hacking? So what? Everything is. This is not an excuse. This is not true. My friend has been playing GMOD in Steam offline mode for the last 4 months Yeah, like that will happen...

People do realize that you can still buy a DVD copy and install it? There is no need to download anything from Steam except patches...

People that won't buy Arma 3 because of this are crybabies TBH Why is Steam so bad for you? You can still buy a DVD copy, mods will be easire to manage (Steam Workshop), faster updates, anti-piracy... Is it such a problem to make a Steam account to play Arma 3? Steam also makes it easy to play with friends and manage games

I like Steam and I think Arma 3 will work great with Steam Workshop. I just hope they don't include VAC, as it could lead to a hacking chaos

Every mission in Arma 2 campaigns was an option, wasn't it? You could skip missions

Main Menu- Multiplayer- Host new session (bottom left) Set it to Internet, add a password, choose a mission and he should be able to join you!
