  1. I would like to see like an F1 car or something similar, now that cars can actually go like 350, would be fun to have a race with an f1 car or rally car in the new engine.
  2. ive got 4 barrels on my model named Cannon1, Cannon2, Cannon3, Cannon4 and i want each of them to be "Gatling_20mm" that fire "300Rnd_20mm_shells", and i have no idea how to do it, i can only get 1 to fire, how can i setup my config to have 4 of them?
  3. Will that work for pilot controlled weapons as well as user controlled turrets? also i just want to use the default "Gatling_20mm" surely there is a simpler way just to add 4 of those to the nose?

    ok got all that done now, im doing the weapons, ive made 4 barrels named Cannon1,2,3,4 in 0.00 LOD, then in Memory axisCannon1,2,3,4, and cannon 1 works, but i cant seem to find a way to get each one of those barrels to each fire at the same time?

Ok, so basically i have made an aircraft mod, here is a screenshot of my LOD's http://gyazo.com/683a42c97d52290e59c17e9764fec7c6, the right ones being geometry, fire geometry and land contact, in game for some reason, certain parts of my model will collide with the ground, ie the wings nose and 90% of the body, yet for some reason the tail will always go through the floor, however if i get out of the plane and walk towards it, i can walk through the entire plane, i also cannot shoot any part of it, can anybody give me advice on what is wrong?

    Ok it still isnt working, it must be something wrong with my model, do you mind taking a look at what i have if i upload it? Edit i forgot to rename my 0.00 LOD too, i got it working, thanks so much for that GNAT :)

    ok i gave it a try, but it didnt work, you'll probably laugh at how bad it is, but i dont exactly know what im doing with these configs, im sure you'll spot a load of obvious errors though

    Thanks for the help Gnat, ive got the Fire LOD, and the Geo LOD both working nicely the way i wanted, but im still not sure how to do this MODEL.CFG, theres nothing in the CONFIG.CPP that says CfgSkeleton or CfgModel and ive got no experience with writing them, i dont even really know what they are?

    Each of 'levy kolo', 'pravy kolo', 'predni kolo' to have how exactly would that look in that config? im sorry i need alot of help but ive had absolutely 0 experience with configs or arma modding How would i change the config here http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Model_Config so that it will work for myne, i think ive found the problem with my Geo lods being i wasnt checking the find non convex, but now that i have, im getting really bad shapes when i close them, its making my model really clunky, i cant go anywhere near the model, for example there are lines going from the wingtips to the top of the tail meaning you cant stand along side the aircraft, but i dont exactly know how to fix that?

    Yeah i actually tried changing it to 1 before, it game me the option to bring the gear up, but in game, the gear didnt change at all, nothing happened basically, should everything in that plane tutorial 1 & 2 work as it says in arma 3, then i know atleast if it dosent work, its me, not old stuff just not working in a new game?

    ive fixed all my lods, and ive watched all your videos gnat, im also following that guide recommended by ABS but the gears wont retract like the tutorial says it should, im also having problems with my collision, my plane collides perfectly with the ground ect, and you can run into the wheels and shoot them, but the rest of the plane (body and wings) you can shoot and run through, i cant see why those parts arent working?

    thanks for the help with the tutorials Abs and Gnat, i have a problem with find non closed then closing them, http://gyazo.com/6a17b1c72fc59bb49d3b34b59835cecc , if i try and close oxygen changes the direction of the blue lines, but if i do find non closed again, it just finds the same vertices?
  14. ok ive fixed that and ive got 4 sounds, 2 for inside the cockpit and 2 outside at high and low speed, i have a recording of a flyby that this plane makes, is it even possible to use this flyby sound ive got in the game so that people on the ground hear this?

Ok i have made an aircraft mod, and im having some trouble getting it to make any sound, so im hoping somebody can help me out with a few things. -What length should the sound file be (in seconds) - What file format should the sound file be -Where do i place the sound file in the mod pack (what folder ect) - Finally where and what do i put in the Config.cpp at the moment im just trying to get a basic propeller sound into the game called idle.wav, ive converted this into a .wss file and placed it in my p:\mod pack folder, then in the config ive tried lines such as but i just cant get it to make noise, note, im 100% a complete beginner so id ask you keep it in mind if you help me :), thanks very much.

Ok so ive wanted to make mods for a while, but everytime i try and find guides/help, there not worded for total beginners, so far ive made a model of an aircraft, ive imported that into oxygen 2 and ive added geometry, fire geometry, and ground contact for the plane, but i have absolutely no idea how to make a config for it, to be honest, right now alls i want to do is get it into arma 3 in the first place so i can check that the geometry and fire geometry work, then get a config to make it fly later, can anybody help me with this? thanks, Joe.
  18. haha im not planning on entering that competition, ive been wanting to make addons for ArmA for a long time mainly for aircraft, theres alot of aircraft that theres no mods for that i just want to fly, but everytime i've asked for help and specified im a beginner, there just too technical, ill message you back if i ever complete this plane, theres alot to do of course, again, thanks for the help :)

  20. How do you make my mod into a pbo, ive used BINPbo to turn it into a pbo but my game freezes in game when i spawn it, and why exactly are you putting files in P:\MY_Vehicles\, you put anything in P:\ when you download other mods?

Thanks for the help Abs, ok so i added the config and changed the model to myne 'Mosquito.p3d' in the config, then binarised the .ccp config into a .bin file, then i turned the whole thing into a .pbo (model and .bin), when i put it in game, i can spawn it, and i can access the inventory, but the plane isnt visible, i cant see anything, im not sure if its my model, i can see it in buldozer, heres a screenshot of my crappy model up to now in buldozer http://gyazo.com/2025b668e93e9a88b65d5a85d1a3269d, and heres a screenshot of my oxygen http://gyazo.com/6458ed2b810581dc3ecc78a4178c5b03, ive read that if you have too many vertex/faces that it can be invisible, but i dont think myne is, its pretty basic, so im not sure what ive done wrong, thanks for the help.
  24. ok, so personally, im very disapointed with the content in this game, i still love it, but for example, theres no BLUFOR jets, or OPFOR jets, just the classic jets that people want to see, i couldnt care what jets they are, as long as there are a few, but there just isnt. Theres hardly any attack heli's either, like all the AH helicopters, AH-1Z and the AH-64, mi-24 and mi-28 ect ect, its also the same with the weapons, where are all of the AK variants, M4 variants and M16 variants ect ect, all of the classic guns, m249, m24, barrett .50, blah blah, all of the obvious stuff, ive been told by a friend that because the game is set in the future, that none of that will be added, but i dont see why there cant just be like a rebel faction with older gear, ie, things around now, so are all these things going to be added, and if they are, does anybody know when, surely it wont take them long to add a few weapons, anyway, any info would be nice, thanks.
  25. i dont think you get my point, my point is that i want to be able to try lets say 10 different variants of guns, MX, AK, M4, M16, Katiba, ect ect ect and decide which one i like so i can use it, not just be stuck with MX or katiba... again ive read comments of people saying things like i doubt any futuristic military would use harriers or SU-34, true to some extent... for example the harrier, yes, a high tech military will probably no longer use it, but it dosent make it a bad jet?, its a fantastic aircraft and lower tech military's will use it, again bringing back to my point, there should be a faction that uses slightly lower tech gear, ie, harriers, older armoured vehicles, AK's, the whole world of military dosent revolve around just Russian and American modern gear... theres hundreds of things that would fit in and make the game more fun due to more variety, and also, i dont understand why people have this idea anyway, why does the fact that the AK being old make it bad?, or the M16, or even things like the SU-34, there are hundreds of examples of weapons and vehicles that are decades old, but they do their job well, so there still in service, for example the A10 Thunderbolt, one of the best ground attack aircraft if not the best, was brought into service in 1977, does that automatically mean that it wont be in service in 2035?, no because if the aircraft does its job well, then it wont be put out of service, if anything, they can just upgrade it with newer technology, its the same story with the AK-47, which was first produced in 1949, the Russians were considering making the AK-12 their standard issue rifle in 2012, yet again more evidence that just because the game is in the future, dosent mean that guns like the Kalashnikov's wont still be used, if a design works, they will keep it, and there hundreds upon hundreds of weapons and vehicles around today, that will probably still be in use in 2035in fact i just found this on the wikipedia page for the A10 "Aircraft used primarily in this role are designated OA-10. With a variety of upgrades and wing replacements, the A-10's service life has been extended to 2040." this is a prime example of my point, in 2040 the A10 will have been in service for 63 years... there should be a version in the game
