So I purchased Combined Operations on steam the other day and installed the latest beta patch along with the Dayz mod and Project Reality mod. I've set my microphone to default communications device and disabled all other potential recording devices. I've tried the microphone plugged into my external soundcard, my internal one and I've tried an extra usb microphone but none of them have worked. I've launched the game with full administration settings and I've also checked the drivers on my microphone but they were all up to date and the right ones for arma. (according to a forum post I read)
The problem seems to stem from the fact that no one even sees my name popping up in game as trying to speak. I've asked several people playing both vanilla Operation Arrowhead and project reality mod servers and whenever I press the talk key, my username and the microphone icon appears on screen but according to other players they don't see my name. So I guess this might be a network issue? Well anyway hopefully someone can help.
