  2. Hi Folks Is it possible somehow to use more than the 5 mouse buttons that are listed in the control settings? It would be quite poor, if arma 2 allows just those buttons, even if you have more on your mouse.. But if not (what i expect ;)) is there a trick, to add them anyway? Can't imagine that everyone just uses 5 mouse buttons in that game Oo ---------- Post added at 16:08 ---------- Previous post was at 15:50 ---------- Okay, it was easier as i thought with my mouse software.. nevertheless i need a second profile.. But anyway, the buttons should be identified.. On the other hand, arma knows every button on my gamepad. ^^

  4. Hi folks Is there a special reason, why the plants are not available in the mission editor? (cheating? uninteresting? laziness? ;) ) As far as i know, in times of OFP it was possible. Maybe you should make the plants usable in the editor.. The main argument for me is, that you cant use many objects, when you want to produce for popular online-servers (E.g. Editor Updates, object addons..) like warfare BE. They often just use the vanilla version, so the basic ARMA2 stuff should be available in the editor.

    ah, looks promising ! does it differ much from the "real" HC-Addon? The tutorials doesnt look exactly like in warfare be i cant build more than one group, and the AI only drives to the next waypoint and not in cycle [edit] ah, now i understand.. so when i'm groupleader, i can just be in one group with my other AIs? (at least i can make waypoints now at all.. but thats not enough to me ;) )

    can anybody tell me how to use the patrol mode in warfare be? ok, it seems, that it's only available for the com, but even in that position, i don't understand it ;) i tried to use it for a unit of my own squad.. is this the problem? (i tested without other squads..) is there no way to use waypoints or somethink like that? (is there at least any way to use waypoints for AI? ^^)
  7. Is there actually no way to let the AI do a patrol, perhaps via map!? this is really strange.. why has BI never integraded that? i think it's one of the basis maneuvers in every army..

    Statistically, the tanks fall on their heads too often.. Okay, i have no proofs for that, but who has ever seen a tank, lying on his top? (Please no evidence pics now) When i play warfare mods - and I do this regularly - every fifth AI tank is unusable because of this problem. And yes, it happens especially in Takistan.. But it's an official map.. and it's the most popular.. So, one small suggestion: Maybe you should multiply the tank weight by 2 or 5.. Or whatever, you made that game ;) PS: And yes, there are threads with that issue..

    Ok, let me say it in other words: No matter what situation war would bring, the on-top-rate is too high ^^ a tank is too heavy, that this could happen so often. but maybe it's just my opinion edit: perhaps, you could let the tank rather slide than tilt/flip. especially the flat tanks (m1a1) would look a bit more realistic

    hi there. small question to that fantastic gamemode: when i'm playing online, there are most of the time small (script?)error messages displayed in black and white. my friends don't seem to have that messages, but i dont know why. is it possible to disable it? we are using different launchers (me: six updater, they: play withsix). i saw that there is an option for disabling error messages.. but before i start big action, i wanted to ask here... the map was [64] Warfare V2.071-Takistan (but it's not the only map) greets & thx for help [edit] Okay, i guess i found the solution: Somehow, in SU, the game wasn't set to Combined Operations (just "OA any autodetect"). Up to now, there are no new error notifications..

  13. Hey Folks! I like the idea of having money as an object (perhaps a "wad of cash" with a value) in the game. So every unit (especially civs) could have a certain amount of physical money in their pockets. When you get that money, you can doubleclick it in your inventory to put it on your account. I wish to have it for my MSO mission, but i think it would be a big advantage for many editors! And yes: For a pure army vs. army mission it maybe is not so interessting ;) Anybody knows something like that or has an idea, how to approach this?

  15. Hi there. I've got a question concerning addons and mods.. I still don't know, how the addon system really works. Don't understand me wrong, i'm playing ACE, MSO etc without problems, but, is it necessary to regard the advises of the mod/addon-maker? Example: The BW-Mod should be put into the Arma2-Folder. That's written in the readme and on the download-pages, too. But, when I load the mod with the Six-Updater, it will be installed in the Arma2 OA Directory. It's still downloading, but I guess that it will work..(?) So, is it recommended to install the whole stuff into just the Arma2 OA Folder? (C:\User isn't possible btw: Not enough space ;))

    thanks men, thats what i wanted to hear ;) i think it'll be "mostly" possible to move my addons from arma2 into the OA folder... the only thing to remember would be the keys.. but i guess they'd even work, when i keep them in the arma2 folder. (what i don't intend anyway)

    ah, i think i understand now (more or less..) The point is, that there are different concepts of installing the arma stuff. You can merge both products or you can install them in seperate folders. Last one would be combined operations. Seems that you're using the first variant and me the second..(?) Assumed, that combined operations differs from the other concept, is it then possible to install all addons mods in Arma2 OA or just some or none!? Guess this would be the question..

    Hm, but why does it also work when I put the files into Arma2 OA? ACE, for example, is completely in this directory.. There are also Mods/Addons that have to be installed into OA, not? (I'm using combined operations btw)
  20. If I'm not mistaken, the "old" six updater is still the better solution, not? Contrary to PWS, you can choose much more options/mods etc there.. So tell me, why should i use the nextgen stuff at the moment? ;) PS: The Six Updater is really cool btw ^^
  21. Is this version incompatible to the last one? (It's the first time i try acre) When i tried to join a server with 1.48 there was displayed that it differs from the client version.. Maybe i used the new version too early.

    For me, it would be enouth to have an money-"object", that eg. civilians are wearing. so you can grab the cash and put it to your account.. is there anything like that? (for warfare? ;))

  24. @CarlGustaffa: Ah, i see. So, maybe I can get the effect i want with some astronomical server-commands or is there actually a special addon? ;)
  25. hehe.. yes, but i like the idea of accepting that there is another day :D and yes, i know about that persistent database. thats why i intuitively have chosen mso, which uses it (partly).. A friend told me that you an play the ARMA2 SP Campaign in Coop with saving, is that true?
