    Arma 2 free very dark on low settings

    I recently downloaded arma 2 free and on the lowest settings possible it is almost impossible to see anything because it is too dark. I am unable to increase the settings because my computer is incredibly weak. This is what it looks like however when it is paused it looks good. is there any way for me to make it look more like it does when it is paused? also i tried increasing the post processing effect but that makes it worse:
