PC system crash on ArmA 2/:CO - Tried everything!
westomopresto replied to westomopresto's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
It seems to be running again with crossfire disabled! That's great news, I wish I figured that out sooner. I will see how well it does, i'll give it a couple of days before the final verdict. -

It seems the USB 3.0 BSOD crash was unrelated to ArmA II and my problems. Thanks for that tip TonyGrunt! Helped one of the issues ive been having :) I contacted the manufacture of my USB 3.0 drivers (Etron or w/e) and they said this mother board has issues with the driver. So that's well known i guess? Damn wtf gigabyte. I disabled 3.0 and the bluescreens went away yay! But ArmA is still doing what it's been doing. I have 2 GPUs and they're both HD6800s [VX2450] 1gb each VRAM Total 2g with Crossfire enabled. Maybe it's crashing because I have them crossfired? -

I say "fine and dandy" because It is properly cooled. And I'm not an idiot, and your attitude isn't appreciated. Assuming everyone you talk to is a complete idiot is a horrid way going about life. I am not over clocking this system in any way shape or form. ArmA II crashes even at the lowest temp. 44~Celsius. It has NOTHING to do with temperature. Once again, thanks for your imput. But No thanks to your elitist attitude. ---------- Post added at 01:00 ---------- Previous post was at 00:50 ---------- These crash reports are almost useless. Since they only record when a program crashes, and when a bluescreen occurs. They DO NOT however record when the system freezes. Making this very hard to determine the root cause. -

Ill upload the windows log right now I launch the game using Six launcher yes, but it still crashes even if I just play regular-degular armaII I have the non-steam version of this game, it's a retail box copy. (Both ArmAII and OA) No it's all fine and dandy. No water damage or anything :I This is a fresh windows 7 install, I have no anti virus program yet. And i'm 100 positive this machine has no viruses on it. I'm fairly convinced it might be the fact that I don't own a steam copy of this game. All my friends who have the steam copy have 0 problems. Thanks for the replies everyone, I'm trying all the suggestions. I'm gonna upload the windows log. edit: http://www.mediafire.com/?57nyxhj1xp7ygpp EDIT2: just had first bluescreen. New logs : http://www.mediafire.com/?80r8jc8b5jrnqmc ---------- Post added at 22:18 ---------- Previous post was at 22:14 ---------- I did some research, and found some drivers for my mobo. The windows logs say there is a crash error on one of the mobo drivers. -

Like I said, i confirmed this NOT being a overheating problem. I have a Gigabyte board that is "Ultra Durable 2" And it was bundled with my water cooling :) Thanks for the response though. -

I've been able to play ArmA 2 lately with no problems, Running it at max settings with this sytem with no problems with overheating at all. I tried searching for other people with my problem, but I have yet to find someone with a system crash problem that doesn't have to do with temperature. My system never goes over around 50c~ Which is normal and fine for games. I have liquid cooling, so it's all good. Basically I know it has nothing to do with over heating. My goal is to discover the issue by making this topic :) Anyways, As of recently- I discovered if I play ArmA2 for around 30 minutes or so (Sometimes less) my system will freeze completely. Usually forcing me to shut the entire system down and reboot. Then, If I try relaunching ArmA2 after that, it runs fine up until I try loading a mission again. Then it instantly crashes again. I tried reinstalling ArmA2 twice now, and I still run across this same problem. I play DayZ if you're familiar with that mod, and it also crashes on there. I have also determined that it isn't Dayz that's causing this crash. I reinstalled the game and ran it several times (still encountering the crash) without having that mod even installed.
