    ACE for OA 1.13

    I have question about adding a menu item to the ace interaction menu. I want to add an option to join the group of the player you are interacting with. The only information I seem to be able to find is the following link. http://armastack.info/index.php/discussions/1545 From that is seems like I have to actually edit the ACE files? Or is it possible to add it via a script in the mission folder. Seems like cba_fnc_ui_menuAdd is important as well but I cant find any documentation on that either. Thanks for any help.
  2. A unit I run with is interested in running this, is it not possible to play as Russian forces in a coop though? From what I gather its BLUFOR only. Would it be really hard for me to manually change over if it doesn't support OPFOR Russians? I have considered maybe doing the trick where you group the OPFOR russians to a blufor leader but I imagine that would bug the hell out of things. Any help is appreciated.

    Insurgency

    I have been trying to convert the Takistan insurgency mission to be Russians versus Insurgents, I am running into a lot of problems adding them in instead of Blufor though. Is there already a Russian version out there? Or does anyone have any tips for converting the code? The insurgents being on OpFor seem to be throwing me for a loop. Thanks for any help, back to messing around in scripts for me.
  4. The only thing I saw different was this line... <?DOCTYPE squad SYSTEM "squad.dtd"?> Changed it to match the <!DOCTYPE squad SYSTEM "squad.dtd"> Still nothing though. Could you maybe post your squad.dtd?
  5. Been trying to set up a squad xml system for the guys I play with, we have one xml for each rank. The problem I am having is that it is only working for the first person in each rank. I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing this. Could it be the server we have the xml hosted on? Here is an example xml. <?xml version="1.0"?> <?DOCTYPE squad SYSTEM "squad.dtd"?> <?xml-stylesheet href="squad.xsl?" type="text/xsl"?> <squad nick="rdvVDV"> <name>VDV Airborne</name> <email>vdvairborne at gmail.com</email> <web>vdvairborne.com/forum</web> <picture>logo.paa</picture> <title></title> <member id="#######" nick="####"> <name>#####</name> <email>#####</email> <icq>######</icq> <remark>#########</remark> </member> <member id="#########" nick="#######"> <name>####</name> <email>####</email> <icq>######</icq> <remark>######</remark> </member> </squad> So in that above example it is only loading the first member, anything after that does not show. Everyone after that gets the info from the first member but they do not get the rank. Really appreciate any help, thanks.
  6. Could you further explain why it isn't cost effective? Just wondering cause we seem to be in the same boat. Don't want to get something that wont work of course.
  7. You were really able to connect? My group wasn't able to connect at all. I hear ya on the troubleshooting, in the same boat. I talked with support a little more and it seems like the beta isn't really supported by them. From what I gathered you need to get a VDS from them to run the beta. I am trying to decide now if their VDS packages will handle Arma 2.
  8. I am having exactly the same problem here. I have not been able to figure it out. Vanilla we can connect but once we try loading the expansion we can not connect. Even with the modline supposedly loading the expansion via: arma2;expansion;ca; I copied the expansion folder directly from my six updater install as well.
  9. Where does the userconfig files have to be on a server? I have it set up exactly like my client would be and the rpt file keeps saying it can't find the userconfig for some reason.

    I have a question about using the T-E to aim artillery pieces. In all the training videos I have watched it seems like people are able to use the mouse to aim this. I can't do that though. I was wondering if an update changed this? The only option I have is to move 1 mil at a time and that is painfully slow. Sorry if its an obvious answer, I am stumped!
