If you mean C:\Users\"Profile" - then yes it is read only. But I can still see hidden folders in there like appdata and even delete files. Probably administrator settings in Windows?

Thanks. I have located the files in question and created a ticket: https://dev-heaven.net/issues/36634 I tried searching for similar issues but I could only find one - and the person resolved it by removing that freetrack program you mentioned before.

Don't think so... as I don't even know what that is. :P Don't have anything apart from my mouse and keyboard. Although at some point I did have a joystick emulator for IL-Sturmovik (so my mouse was able to act as a joystick) - but I have since deleted that. I'll double check to make sure there is no traces of such device. But yea, the weird part is that I can access controls menu every time I start Arma. The problem is that the second time I open controls menu the game crashes. And I don't see any clarification or error why... Just "Arma has stopped working blabla...". ---------- Post added at 19:27 ---------- Previous post was at 19:21 ---------- I have checked my device manager and I did find said joystick emulator (although inactive) lurking there. I removed it but the crash still happens. I also removed Wacom tablet device, but it was never plugged in anyway. Is there log file I could check to find out what is causing the crash?

Yes. I have Arma 2 profile files in My Documents. I also have some Arma 2 files under Users > AppData > Local. I deleted all of these Arma 2 files when I reinstalled the game(s). And it didn't help - same exact problem.

Hello, I have a really annoying problem. Happens every single time on ARMA 2, ARMA 2: CO, DayZ. When I go into options menu and click "Controls" for the first time everything is fine. I can check the controls and close the menu and continue playing. However, the seconds time (in the same session) when I click on controls menu the game crashes. This happens every single time. Since I am just starting out and Arma has a tons of controls I am kind of forced to check controls menu from time to time. But I am unable to because of the problem I mentioned. Any ideas? PS: I also tried removing DayZ addon and completely reinstalled ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA. My system: Win 7 (64) i5 760 HD 6870 ARMA 2: Combined Operations (Steam version)
