I agree, I play with Arma at about 30% volume and I often get clipping with the loud bullet cracks. They're way louder than my own gun or the guns around me.

LAxemann's DynaSound: A new soundmod (+ public soundmod-framework)
panimala replied to laxemann's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
It's likely the lack of realistic jet sound reverb in Arma that makes it stick out to me. -

Sounds nice! I feel it lacks a tail though. -

Those GAU impact sounds sound spot on, LAxemann. Nice job. :) And great example of HDR usage megagoth1702. Very promising for the future of HDR sound in Arma. -

With your portfolio of tweaks and addons I'm sure creating your own soundmod is the way to go. Looking forward to future updates! Sounds great so far. :) -
Authentic Gameplay Modification

I hope you have been following scripter Killzonekids updates. Recently he made it easily possible to have players enter ragdoll without having to die or collide with an object (well technically they still do) I hope this is looked into for getting shot. http://killzonekid.com/arma-scripting-tutorials-forced-ragdoll/ Keep it up with the updates! -
Laxemann's "Enhanced Soundscape" (L_ES) - Gun reverb and echo based on terrain
panimala replied to laxemann's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Hey Laxemann, did you ever think about building upon that jet engine reverb you showcased a month back? I thought it really helped highlight the power a jet engine possess. Looking forward to future mod updates regardless. :) -

Sounds awesome LJ, nice job. Some credit is due to LAxemann too! Back when you released 1.5 and later 2.2 for Arma 3 I really thought you had done what's possible within the limits of the engine, but I was wrong. Looking forward to trying it out for myself. :) -

Laxemann's "Enhanced Soundscape" (L_ES) - Gun reverb and echo based on terrain
panimala replied to laxemann's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Nice update, I really like how long the reverb sounds (notably the forest sounds) are but still don't overlap each other. That is one thing that I feel other Arma 3 sounds do. One critizism I have to point out though is that I feel the forest reverb sounds have just a tiny bit too much character to them, as if you changed environment to a very large hall. The preview you posted earlier had, in my opinion, more fitting sounds. -
POLPOX's Calm Animations Script
panimala replied to POLPOX's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Cool script! It's nice seeing people acting a tad more human from a distance and not just standing still as if they are frozen in place. -
This is looking great from the video, and the movement possibilities seem really improved. However some of these maneuvers would be a lot slower and harder to perform with full military gear. Maybe include so the animation would simply play slower the more gear you carry? Keep up the great job.

Absolutely amazing work. I've only fooled around in the editor but the amount of content is so great to see. Hope to see you guys continue working on this and updating the US side (most notably in my opinion) infantry camo. Great job yet again. Our community will definitely use this.- 16577 replies

Burnes Armories Tanks and Deployment Vehicles
panimala replied to a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Looks great Burnes, as your other addons do. Looking forward to the T90 as well! I've only tested the released vehicles a bit in the editor so far but it's so cool to finally see how these MBTs look inside. Have you paid much attention to the armor values of the vehicles? It'd be interesting to hear. Keep up the great work. -
Laxemann's "Enhanced Soundscape" (L_ES) - Gun reverb and echo based on terrain
panimala replied to laxemann's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Nice concept man, sounds good. I like that you're moving onto other aspects of the game and not just guns. I've been at several events where jet fighters have flown around, and how their sound rip holes in the sky and you need to basically shout to hear anyone on top of their engines. But yes, they aren't constantly that loud, most often when the exaust is pointed at you during a fly by for example, but that would probably be hell to code with vectors and shit like that. A youtube video can't really make it justice but I'll post something anyway. -

Authentic Gameplay Modification
panimala replied to koffeinflummi's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Me and my group currently use TFAR. When you're in a downed state (shot or injured), is there yet an option to decide what people should be able to hear? For me I'd personally would like to be able to hear everyone muffle as if they are under water when I'm down. Just thought that'd add to the realism. -
Right! Thank you.
-
Is there a possibility to be able to decide server side if people should be able to hear others when they're down? For example, I'd like to have everyone else to be muffled like if you're in underwater when you're in a downed state.

Authentic Gameplay Modification
panimala replied to koffeinflummi's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
That pbo includes not only the different tints that the sunglasses add but also the dirt that forms when a grenade goes off closeby and when exiting a chopper, and I really like those effects, it's a shame that removing the pbo removes every single effect. -
Authentic Gameplay Modification
panimala replied to koffeinflummi's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I would like to be able to use sunglasses and other eyewear with AGM simply for their aesthetic, without having a color tint on the screen. Is this currently possible or is it an option you could look into? Also is there an option to increase the blood loss rate when severely wounded, or does it already work like that? Because when we used "preventDeathWhileUnconscious false" we often had people killed straight away with burst fire, but turning it on let people lie on the ground and chill unconcious for quite some time. Keep up the good work, AGM is hugely important for Arma.
