It says on the Arma 2 offical site that ACR requires Combined Ops, which is listed as Arma 2 and OA, so yes, you will need OA. Sorry to tell you!

Yes, more than likely Arma 2 CO is Arma 2 and OA, I don't think you can make it without OA.

Hey all as the title says I'm finaly buying Arma X tommorow! I've been waiting for like a month! I'm so excited! Just wondering how difficult it is to install and some of the addons or mods I should get, I am also wondering if you can combine Arma2,OA, BAF, and PMC into one game like with combined ops. Hey all, just wondering if there is a FPS booster for arma 2? Kind of like Optfine with minecraft. Just would like a little boost to my fps!

I guess I'll have to deal with crappy graphics and slow fps untill I can afford an update. Now I have to start the search for a good comp...

Hey just an update, I've installed gamebooster and its givin me a slight boost, but not much. @ChrisB I'm not running any mods (yet) and as for my settings I have them all at low with at and aa off and no postproc. With thoughs on a regular mission I can get an ok fps of 20ish, but on a mission with a lot of AI I only get 10 fps with it set to Wii game grapichs. I mainly play sp because I can barely run the servers... My specs are: Windows 7 home premi 3.5 gb ram Processor: AMD E-300 w/ Radeon HD graphics 1300GHz 2 cores Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics and I think about 5.8 GB of vram

Hey everyone! I need some help please! I was trying to install ACE for arma CO, and then all of a sudden when I try to launch OA it gives me this error message on the loading bar "No enty 'bin/config.bin/CfgInGameUI/MPTable/shadow' then it goes on to try and load then shows this message "Error compiling pixel sgaper PSSpecularAlpha:0". I think when messing around with my install folder I may have accidently deledted something. Any help would be much appreciated. I have also run the game before with no issue. If you know whats wrong please tell me how to fix it thanks! Thanks!

I do all that, and I can get the ACE loading screen, and some of the components, like the medic equipment, but I can't use anything! I don't know why its not working...

Hopefully this will help. I realy want to turn up my settings, I'm tired of my game looking like its was made for the Wii...

Yea, I've had a lot of trouble getting Ace to run. Do you know of any easy step by step tuts on how to install it, not using 6 updater pref not video... Wetev I'm just happy I didn't have to reinstall!

well I've now gotten rid of all the mod stuff and it should just be a vanilla install. An reinstall isnt really an option for me, because I'm on dial up, and cant really aford the $100 of assorted things to get to town and the local internet cafe. I should also say that this is a non steam version of arma 2 oa. Any solution would help me... Well I can get Arma 2 running pretty good if I mess with the settings, and I looked over the specs for BAF and PMC and it looks like I can run them. Thanks for all your help!

Thanks! I do have one more question though. My comp can only run arma 2 on very low settings, do all the DLC use the same amount of comp power? Ie. can my computer run all DLC if it can barely run arma 2?

Hmmm... Now I need to chose between getting the DVD version or getting it from Sprocket! The problem with getting the DVD version is acctually finding a place near me to get it or to find a good place online... decisions, decisions, decisions... Edit: Also that seems very stupid to give the person the maps but not a hard copy! That pretty much just give the person a jpeg of the map... Although I guess you could print them off yourself, but that would be a hassle. meh, I guess I'll just go with Sprocket, seems much easyier!
