I know there are lots of threads about Arma II and freezing, but I can't find any that have a solution. I have Arma II: Combined Operations with DayZ installed and it freezes for about 5 seconds every 10 seconds, the game is unplayable! My game is from steam so it should be up to date. The freezing occurs even in the menu, both sound and video freeze. I downloaded Arma II demo and the same thing happens, except is only happens every 30 seconds or so. I also noticed that in the demo the freezing happened everytime a message was showed in the chat. I tried to lower the resolution and the quality, but nothing change. My PC specs should be just above the recommended settings and I need to find a solution or I will have to get my money back because here in Brazil I payed quite a nice amount of money (about 40 dollars). The version of ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead is 1.59. I get about 40 fps, but the freezing makes it unplayable. The CPU temp is always below 60ºC and the GPU temp is always below 50ºC. PC specs: Intel Core2Duo [email protected] Mobo Gigabyte GA-G41MT-ES2L 4gb DDR3 1066Mhz Ram ATI HD 6670 750Gb HD tl;dr version: Arma II: Combined Operations is freezing every 10 second, even on the menu. I tried to lower the settings, but nothing helps. The pc specs are above recommended.
