I wish my carrier could do this. Mine is just plain and boring. :)

This game is a complete and utter failure and this is why:

I can say two things. 1 - Every game made these days is not finished, and can take months if not years to reach completion. I'm not happy with it, but that is the way things have become since the internet and broadband. Gamers are also beta testers. :) 2 - I have been playing CCGM since launch and I am loving it even with it's few problems. -
DRM-free - Thank you Bohemia Interactive!
joote replied to jamyskis's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
I think the sprocket version of CCGM uses tages protection, which I believe is a form of DRM. I could be very wrong though. -
Thank you, I think I might just give it a go, seeing as how I am feeling very tech lucky this morning. :)

Bug: Game is getting confused with scramblers and shield boosters.
joote replied to species1571's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
I have come across this but thought it was something about the game I had not yet learned. So it's a bug then? -

How do I move the supply hub?
joote replied to TheSarge's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
Normally I would be very careful with my fuel management, but, I wanted to see what happened when you did actually run out of fuel. I thought that some solution may present itself. So there is only use of hook or move carrier to walrus. -
Suggestions for CCGM (please post them here)
joote replied to dram's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
Enemy Carrier rebuilds on destruction - If the enemy carrier is destroyed, but xx amount of islands still not owned by player, then the enemy carrier starts to rebuild. Remote Cameras - Ability to build and place remote cameras on owned islands, so as you can view said islands until camera is destroyed. Classic Mode - Option to start strategy game in classic mode. Start game with bare minimum number of islands owned by you and the enemy. Overhaul Zoom - Zoom needs more levels (leaps between zoom levels to great). Zoom on carrier to restrictive. -
Some words about road to next patch

Thank you Dwarden. The patch can only be a plus on what is already, a most absorbing and enjoyable game. -
How do I move the supply hub?

Thanks. I am in the campaign so I guess I must leave them to rust. :( -
How do I move the supply hub?

Is there any way to refuel the walrus after they run out? I have 3 stuck in the middle of a island. Do I just abandon them? -
I feel that the £31.99 price tag done a lot of damage to the initial sales. You see £24.99 or £29.99, and think, fair price for a new game and buy. Seeing it for sale at £31.99 makes you think twice. It may be only a few pounds, but those few ponds look much larger once they cross the 30 mark.

I have been reading forum post from many disgruntled players of this game. I find it hard to understand why they should be so upset. The game has a few flaws and bugs, but nothing out of the normal for a first release, or that the developers won't have fixed in a week or two. I think the game is brilliant even in it's present condition. Anyway, a thought occurred to me that those complaining might be console owners. Not owning a console I wouldn't know how the console version performs. I can only imagine that a game like Carrier Command wouldn't take to consoles very well, and would be more a PC type of game. Are there any console owners that can comment on the game from their point of view? UPDATE: Sorry, just noticed that someone has posted about Xbox players already. Please ignore. :)

Rec'd Game couple of days ago...very pleased so far!
joote replied to battlestar39's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
I too am getting on in years, days use to seem so much longer. I am enjoying this re-envisioned version of Carrier Command. This is one of my favourite games since first seeing the Sinclair ZX81 up for sale in WH.Smiths. It is one of those games I can see myself playing, on and off, for years to come. -
I have the sprocket version and would very much like this mod for my game. I don't understand any of this script jargon, but wish you success.

Desired enemy carrier behaviour?

+1 Very good idea. I think this would work very well. -
Giving up after halfway through the campaign
joote replied to Mr Butlertron's topic in CARRIER COMMAND: GAEA MISSION - GENERAL
My situation is the opposite. I have two islands left and I am sad that the campaign may be coming to a end. Up to this point I have enjoyed every moment except the for fps segments. Those I try to get over as quickly as possible. :) -

To keep things simple you could give the enemy carrier twice the strength but only half of the speed.
