  1. Kibot, first of all thank you for this mission. I'm a long time Arma fan but everytime a new Arma game was released I preferred to wait until its improved content would give me a reason to purchase it. That said, I was convinced it was to early for Arma 3, furthermore I still enjoyed the rich content available for Arma 2. But I tried your mission on a friend's PC, also a big Arma fan, and what I did afterwards was going home, purchase Arma 3 and download your mission. This is kind of scenario I was waiting for since Arma 1. A dynamic war in a polished package that doesn't easily give away its artificial nature. I've tried the version 0.75 and while it's still not perfect I think it's what Arma game was made for. :) I really hope you keep working on it! Thank you again, I can't wait for the 1.0 :)
  2. This is a beautiful game, with tonnes of love invested in, and it shows. Sure, there are compromises but those are a necessary evil. I've never had any crash, the game plays smoothly and the only problem with performance was something that seemed as a memory leak: I had to restart the game every 2-3 hours of play due to a severe performance drop. Which is not a problem as it loads instantly (which by the way, is great!) Once the carrier AI is fixed and the combat with the enemy ship plays out as it should, this game will be perfect. ---------- Post added at 13:39 ---------- Previous post was at 13:36 ---------- Great news! And what about the carrier?
  3. Well, don't be so harsh. The game is splendid already, even if there's still a lot to fix/implement to make it perfect. And I don't think that they didn't know the current state of the carrier AI. In some post Dram said that at a certain point they had to choose what to fix and what to leave for later which included things that would require more time than what they had at their disposal. I suppose the carrier AI is one of those... I only hope they hurry up and fix the carrier AI and the pathfinding before the major review sites start looking this way...
  4. And you know what is putting me off? The fact that in those few reviews that are outthere nobody is mentioning this. They focus on the AI pathfining, which, come on, is really not a show stopper if you handle the situation until the patch comes out. But the completely broken carrier AI on the other hand is.
  5. I get exactly the same results. I love the game and I know Bohemia loves it as well and that they will fix everything that needs fixing, but for now it's a showstopper for me. I don't mind the pathfinding problems. I don't mind other bugs. I've put hundreds of hours into Arma titles so I got used to them. But I DO mind the broken carrier AI. It simply DOESN'T WORK and if the premise of the game is that it's your main enemy and that everything you do, buying equipment, weapons, and conquering island is just to get better chances in a battle against it, then I feel the game is like a good story-based game where you are missing the final chapter. It simply is not worth playing until it is complete. This is how I feel and every evening I struggle to avoid the game as I know it's a waste of time because conquering islands without a working enemy carrier around is pointless and I want to keep the game fresh for when it's really ready to take to the sea. And mind you, a carrier deploying its units when in range is not a solution either. This cannot be only a face-to-face encounter, carriers are long-range beasts so I really expect him to do some carrier tricks on me. I expect to be ambushed by torpedoe-carrying heavy mantas that came from nowhere, I expect him to defend his islands and force me into an honest retreat. I expect him to be the enemy in this game, not a nuisance or a bunny... Come on, Dram, I know you will do it. Just please assure me you really will so I can put this game on the shelve and wait for better days :)

    Domination for Single Player

Hi, I thank you for this mission, I was left wanting after SP OA campaign and I wanted to play a dynamic mission in singleplayer. So thanks for all the labor. If these games continue to live after the release it's thanks to guys like you. I would have a couple of suggestions however, in case you had any plan on expansions, as a single player mode has some other requirements than multiplayer one and you can feel something is missing while playing this mission solo (or maybe it's just me): 1. Medics. I know your men are just cannon fodder, but's a multiplayer approach to the thing. An SP player wants to care for his team. A part from blowing stuff to pieces and killing npcs, this kind of game can provide the satisfaction of having men in your team that survived multiple missions. Why not drop a medic among the reinforcements? 2. Evacuation. Again, flag capturing, respawning etc. Only single player can create an immersion that you're really there, and multiplayer tricks like teletransporting magically from point A to point B destroys all immersion that this mission is easily able to create otherwise. After all you did an outstanding job already in this direction by filling your airbase with believable traffic. Would it be feasible to implement a "Call an evac chopper" like the one that has been used in the Evolution SP? Its A point would always be your position and B point would always be a fixed position on the airbase. One last thing, but's kind of nitpicking from my part though, I noticed the enemy forces have no aircraft aside from the MI8 choppers and strangely SUs bombers are allies. You already have Apaches, F35 AND A-10, so why not make SUs the enemy aircraft? It would provide additional challenge! ;) As it is your air forces are simply to strong and in the end it's just a matter of shooting NPCs as fast as you can in order to win. Anyway, just my 2 cents... Thanks again!
