Tried searching it, and found no results. The closest thing I found on Google has no given solution, so I'll ask here.
After purchasing my copies of AII and AII:OA on Steam, I tried installing them to play DayZ. The guide claims that I should run the games at least once before mod installation, but I can't get OA to start. Halfway through those little checkboxes a popup appears with the words "bin\config.bin/CfgInGameUI/MPTable.shadow". I click OK to the prompt, and the checkboxes continue until only two are left unfilled, and another prompt with "Error compiling pixel shader PSSpecularAlpha:0" shows up. I click OK, and the game just closes.
I don't want to install DayZ wrong, or the game for that matter, so I know I have to start the game once. Validating the Steam cache notes that one file is missing, but is never retreived. I'm guessing this is the problem.
Any suggestions?
