if in doubt dont shoot, wait and watch. there is no medal for so and so many kills. no one cares for your stats. its all about teamplay and objectives.

I would like to help too - but I have no Mic atm. But i can answer questions in chat too! A good idea. I saw many people online that enjoyed a well led squad with missions and all that roleplay that was involved. In fact they all said its the best they ever palyed so far. Its just that most good sevrers are now locked due to so many guys shooting at everything that moves -even friendlies and ppl that drove them crazy. I am for the middle ground of leading newbies into the deeper areas of armas possibilities! If there is a server anounced I will join there frequently and answer questions and help in doing missions. -- I tried to host my pc as server more than once but I can only manage 3-4 people.

interesting. All I know is a Video by Dyslexci - but its a bit old now. its expensive, but I use mouse look so often - and hate it when I cant turn while looking. But on the other hand I hate headbob in games, I get nausea from it. So how do you think will this fit to people like me though? -

arent there any role play servers with fireteams etc teamleader doing their stuff? i dont mind if its coop or tvt. just wanna have a good team and some coordination. thats when arma really shines -

hehe yes ;) http://www.abload.de/img/armavsbattlefieldmaps37j5s.jpg the whole thing of Logistics / transport / flying Jets in BF3 is not present or simply a bad joke... bandar desert? http://www.abload.de/img/bandardesertarmav5jwr.jpg but its not so exact I count pixel and calculate in percentage how I must shrink them - I would say +/- 5% when I take 200ppl server then 20 AI per person and we have the fight density of a typical BF Game if we wanted this. -

We have no Insight in their Code base. All Stuff here is based on generic assumptions that could more or less be true. Maybe it serves as inspiration source or maybe just as an indicator how much a better Mid Range texture is needed. People are overexaggerating when they say stuff like: "BIS must / should .. etc" they dont mean it this way - I am sure. ArmA 3 already looks astonishing great! -
I tried to join this server at least ten times in a row and got kicked / disconnected. 81.88.208.192:2302 [DEV] ARMA.SU (v0.51.103078) #1 7 COOP 30 Air Cavalry v1.6 on Stratis 5/30 players I asked in chat if it was manual, but no answer I guess they were playing. Never was on that server before - wanted to try GITS. Could this be an Error within the netcode?

If your CPU is at 20% doesnt mean it has headroom. Because that % is for a time intervall. In this intervall of 1 second maybe the CPU was needed only for some nanoseconds and was at 100%. read: For systems where power consumption and heat are not an issue, but maximum performance is, it may be desirable to disable CPU Parking. The fact is that even if unparking is near instantaneous, CPU utilization usually occurs in very brief bursts, something I mention frequently. If you look at your CPU utilization and see 15%, that is actually the percentage of time the CPU was active within a relatively large interval (usually 1 second). Actual CPU utilization most often occurs in micro-bursts where the CPU is fully consumed for a few nanoseconds or microseconds. You want those bursts to execute as fast as possible, and this is why all power saving technologies, including frequency scaling, incur *some* performance hit. This is also why a faster CPU does matter, even if you typically don't utilize 100% of available CPU time over a larger interval. I often watch in the Resource Monitor as it parks cores while system load is nearing 50% of total CPU time. This may be why they provided the newer, and even less documented, option "Processor performance core parking over utilization history decrease factor". This option has *something* to do with how aggressively the Windows scheduler will park CPUs based on over-utilization of parking in the past. In other words, if it has been parking them too often, it will 'ease up'. This *additional* value related to core parking has the description: "Specify the threshold above which a core is considered to have had significant affinitized work scheduled to it while parked". Sadly, since there is no documentation on this power option, I am not yet going to comment more on it - yet. I will say it defaults to 2 and has a maximum of 1000. There are also additional new values such as "Processor performance core parking increase time". could you implement a cleanup script that the admin can trigger. sometimes I come back after an hour and my frames decreased from 30 to 15. I would like to cleanup all dead bodies all objects etc... Maybe also just delete all AI - they may respawn in their bases then -

I think this one screenshot speaks for itself. To really get them hooked make 2 or 3 very good appealing ones as examples. They have so much stuff to do, when they see sth. they give it the time it needs I guess! Just pretend youre a dev and look at the forums - so much stuff ;) some good pics that go around will greatly help to get noticed. -

Devil_Inside I dont think youre right. BF3 has even lower resolution and it works just fine. Its not all about resolution but the right set of texture (needs detail and some contrast recognition stuff)! but only a final test can prove this. The main trick of Nordkindchen is to give the (random) colours of the sat map a meaning (not random)! as of now its just a plain geometric objekt with diffuse blurry colours over it, but when each colour has a specific set of texture it glues together and makes sense. -

Devil_Inside even half the resolution would be great. the plus of this method its his diversity. when you have only 1 texture overlaying just different colours of blurry, our brains analyze that automatically and sets it apart. this method gives a better coherent look. maybe even 1/4 of the resolution would still be enough! -

The ! in front of keyword is oaky can I put a longer string like: !waste !dayz ? or mus I separate with semicolon? would be sufficient btw. 3 or 4 presets per modset are okay, lets make it possible to rename them and give them a button: [austrian deathmatch servers] I can click and it uses this preset to filter for servers. -

if the username is the same as the store login - and to show the Email itself is a security risk! the email is half of the login Key - the second half is the password. Email fishing. Spam mails. No giving you Email to public is one of the worst ideas ever. they should forbid anonymous login / or restrict it to only show info thats not personal. Cannot be used to trace an EMail address. -

how can you delete your profile. It shows the EMail address to public which is a very serious security risk!
