Sorry for the ridiculously late response, i didn't get another notification :\ Anyway i tried reinstalling it in the order i mentioned (Do you think i should install arma 2 first(CD) , patch it and then install oa?) and i still have the problem. My theory was that Arma 2 was first, so should be the base. I'll try it with OA first soon though, thank you in advance :)

First of all thank you for your effort and suggestion. Although I'm convinced i had the issue before getting any mods, i will try reinstalling all of it soon. Hi, thanks for reading. Basically i can't see chat messages in the chat box. When someone is using voice chat i can't see his name to indicate he is using the mic. * Direct chat never works, other people can read my stuff but i can't remotely see theirs. I often have that person tell me over steam that I ignore his stuff or someone tells me everyone is spamming chat to me but i can't see it. * Side chat didn't work just now, only for a couple of players. Turned out people were spamming me the IP for teamspeak and the coordinations of the base, but i didn't see it and i had one person tell me ( i could see HIS stuff ). - MAYBE i can't see some markers on the map. As i mentioned above, people told me that the base was marked on the map ( player mark ) but i didn't see any base related markers. This problem occured in vanilla, DayZ and probably ACE as well. The only threads i can find about this are ALL About the DayZ mod, but I never play that, so it's not relevant to my issue. I hope you guys can help me because this is a gamebreaking issue. Most servers have an automatic warn message for that nowadays. Gotta admit though, the trolls did a good job. I'd crap my pants if I saw that.

My educated guess is that you should turn all settings to high, seeig as you set it on very low for the demonstration Other than that i think you should be ashamed for making it sound like the worst game ever because some bush isn't eye candy. I've olayed and enjoyed on 5 fps and even with my new pc i have plenty of problems, such as having no speed meter, ammo counter or altitude meter, but i do not recommend people to look away from this game just cause.

Sadly I didn't take anything from my old PC to my new one. Might this still help or be worth a try, though? Thanks

Thanks for reading. Basically i have this problem for a long time now; my hud simply misses the numbers. When in a vehicle, it says SPD , ALT and all that with the box behind it for the value, but the box is empty. Damage status icons work fine though, they change color etc. Also when in an armed vehicle or on foot armed, it shows in the top right what firing mode i have and what gun, but on the lower line where it should show [Ammo in mag] | [Mags left ] it shows absolutely nothing. I've searched google and all that for months now. Extra information that might be crucial: * This problem occured on my new pc only, on my old pc it was fine so my game is not possessed. * My pc has good specs (not relevant to outdatedness) * I have arma 2 on disc and arma 2 OA on steam. * I have had this problem since vanilla, so it's not mod related. * I'm not sure if it's relevant, but i can't see other people's direct chat. ( they see mine ) * The meters in the vehicles themselves (non hud) do function. * I only found 1 thread relevant to my problem and it's from 2011 without any replies * My videocard drivers should be up to date. * I get a lot of errors saying blahblah/blahblah is missing and i can click continue to keep playing. This happens on startup, sometimes in menu's and sometimes randomly ingame. * I have Windows 7 home premium 64bit * Verifying integrity in Steam (for OA) says it's missing 1 file to be reacquired. (Had somethinf like that on my old pc too where i did not have this issue. Specs, if it really helps. - Intel core i7 3770 - Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 - Windows 7 - 1.5 terrabite I hope you guys can help, theres no solution for this on the internet yet. Please do not tell me to reinstall the game if you have no idea what the problem is (unless you really think it. would help) Please pardon grammar errors or typo's; I'm typing this from my phone.
