Thanks Myke I assume you mean select the entire object and scale it down? Do I texture the new selected object and add a new LOD to that, should the scale be 0.9? 0.001 seems very small. Cheers Rhys .

Thanks Myke That did the trick great stuff, I appreciate the help and the comments. The model was design in gmax at first but I'm slowly getting to grips with O2 I'll Have a go at tidying it up the bucket. My last issue is the bucket in transparent from the inside as shown in the picture? http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p178/hsvgto/transparent.jpg (141 kB) Rhys

Hi all I have created a simple texture for my now re scaled bambi bucket but having trouble texturing in O2. I saved the image as a GIF but for some reason the texture appears behind the object even thought I have selected the front faces. I don't have paint photoshop and not sure what the appropriate texture formate the textures should be saved as Cheers Rhys

Thanks Sven I assume by mass you are referring to the weight of the object? I applied a mass of 400 to the object but after I saved my work and re opened it the object does not appear just a blue cross when I go to the LOD window and click geometry click properties my bucket appears. Not sure where to add contact points Cheers Rhys

Hi Sven Here is a shot of the project I can't seem to find the sample of the light helicopter just the medium sample one Rhys

Thanks sven I have successfully textured the bucket so got that sorted, thanks heaps for your help on this. I have managed to replace my new textured bambibucket and place it in the original put out the fire mission which was created by Thromp. Everything works the new textured bucket appears in the mission, water drops and puts out the fire. The only issue I have is the rope to between the helo and bucket is to long, when I approach the bucket to attach to the helicopter the bucket disappears below the ground then reappears when the helicopter has gained altitude I need to some how shorten the rope if that is possible? Cheers

Thanks Guys Cool got that my object is now textured and bulldozer has created a paa2 file. Next step is getting it in the game. I assume I need to add the paa file in the model cfg for it to appear in the game? Rhys

Hi Sven Thank you for helping me out with this. I see what you mean about scale.I re scaled the object and got it pretty close to the size it should be. I'll have a go at texturing and see how hard that is. One question, how would I go about replacing the original bucket with my bambi bucket in the put out the fire mission Rhys -

I have created an object in gmax turned it into a obj file imported into O2 and used binPBO to creat a obp file. Where in TOH do I put the new obp file so I can use it in the editor. Also if I create an object like a bambi bucket for fire fighting what file type do I save it as Rhys -

Thanks guys I guess I have more questions than answers. I am more use to using gmax so created my object in gmax ran maxscript copyed the information string to a txt file and saved it as a object file. I opened O2 and imported my object and my new object appears in O2 so far so good, question is do I save the file as a ArmA2 pd3 file or export the file as a P3d old version? Cheers Rhys -

Hi Sven Thanks for that I have gmax installed so thought I would try that as well. I exported a simple box to P3D format to see if I could get it into a format that 02 could use but can't work out how to use the binPBO program if in fact that is what I need to use Rhys -

Thanks T.S.C Plage Is it possible to use gmax and then export the object in to Take on helicopter Rhys -
Thanks both for your help. I hope TOH gets some life Breathed into it, the concept is great and with mission like the one that Thromp has updated I hope its spark some interest. Be great to see more missions that reflect the versatility of the chopper. Rhys

Thanks Thromp Great work thank you very much for sorting this out. I am new to take on helicopters and there is much to learn when it comes to the editor I should be able to create a new mission from scratch and place the objects on the map and start from the Larkin base? I wont to remove the cockpit doors and the passenger Once again thank you for the update its great Cheers Rhys
