Hi. My user profile did have a different name than my windows user name. Because the game crashes every now and then, maybe this can cause a user profile file to be corrupted and damaged?

No solution? As this is defiantly a bug in the programme, I´d expect someone to at least have an idea? Tom

While this may be true with reference to TOH, in general this simply isn't true.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I´ve got 3 files in the Take On Helicopters folder: User.takeonhProfile User.vars.TakeOnHProfile TakeOnH (cfg-file) Also the "Saved" file. Any chance to load those files into the game? Thomas Also: There are folders for the campaign and scenarios, however the folders like "United_States_H.United_States_H and the similar ones are empty. And yes, I do change the user regularly, but have done that since I bought the game (CD-version). I´ve just created a new character, that one appears under "Take On Helicopters Other Profiles". This folder is new and only appeared after I´ve created the new character. *Confused*

Hi. I´ve installed all patches and haven´t changed anything. I´ve not played for a few weeks and now when I start, there´s only the preset character to choose from. The one that I´ve created is not available from the list and obviously therefor all progress is lost as well. I´ve started the program a couple of times now, but to no effect. Any suggestions? I´ll try that, thanks. Looks like with the AToC=1 it´ll work. At least it did last time. Thanks so far for your help.

Confirmed, "flush" does not work on my german box version. Those crashes are becoming increasingly annoying, is there any update on the way? I´ll try to set the AToC to something else, but surely this cannot a proper solution?

Hello everyone. I´ve just bought ToH today and I´m fairly impressed. (Being a professional helicopter pilot myself I think I now what I´m talking about) However: The game crashes every half hour or so. Or better: the graphics driver does. At least that is what Vista (32bit, all patches) tells me. It is subsequently restored, but the graphics do not come back. The game keeps running, though. NVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+, Driver: Date: 20.05.2011, Version: 8.17.12.7533 I´ve scanned this forum but couldn´t find this graphics card being reported yet. I customised the graphics setting, everything to normal or low. Thanks for your help, Thomas Germany edit: box version, both patches installed before first launch.
