I am currently playing through the Dogs Of War mission on the campaign and whilst fighting in villages over to the East of the map there was a comms message saying the base was under attack and then the helipad was destroyed (although when I checked the map during the attack there were no symbols for enemy units in the area of the HQ). I have now got to the mission where I need to find and exfil the VIP and went back to base using fast travel, the hind heli that I had bought earlier in the mission is gone and for some reason the game will not let me buy another helicopter (even though I am standing next to the aircraft factory in the base and have plenty of funds to buy one). I have also tried looking into building another helipad in case the game will not let me buy a heli without it - the construction menu only has options for defence (which incidentally will not let me place any assets even when showing green to show I can place them). All the options for buying vehicles are there as before including armour but it is just the helicopter icon and fixed wing icons that no longer light up at the top of the "buy units" screen. Please help

I am completely new to Arma 2 and as warned in all guides it is nothing like other fps games I have played (in a good way). Unfortunately I seem to have hit a dead end while playing the Red Harvest campaign: I have completed all missions bar finding the main insurgent base and also the insurgent leader. I have got to a part on the map near "Oreshka" right at the South of the map and despite approaching the issue from every angle I am either getting shot from someone who I cannot see (despite scanning the whole area before moving forward) or if in a vehicle or heli of any type getting blown up. I have noticed when looking at the map this is outside of the AO and wondered is this the fact that I simply suck at the game or do you die if you venture too far outside of the AO (kind of like what happens on battlefield 2 if you venture too far out of the maps gaming area)? Please help me as I have spent hours at this part so far and am getting nowhere. Thanks
