    Did you re-boot after install?
  2. Try a 'Team death match' server for tvt. Simple meeting engagements. Easy to figure out. Just follow your team-mates towards the sound of gun fire. For coop, people seem helpful to new guys on Domination servers. Avoid teamkilling, the rest will come.
  3. Some mission makers may want a 'sniperfest' --most don't. Server admins need to limit scopes in general, or risk losing players. Sniperfest ruins PvP play. I don't need to get shot from a thousand meters too many times before I stay away from that server.
  4. Server was running a anti-hack script. "Script not found for hacking" means you're good to go.
  5. Thanks for your kind words. Tho i haven't played Wasteland enough to like it or not, hundreds of people play and i'm sure many are forming-up to group into tactical play. Domination? Is that where coop player shoot ai like fish in a barrel --and call it 'mil-sim'? PvP of any type or mode will test tactics --that's why people want to play. ..., to test their tactics and skill against an enemy very capable of victory. Wasteland has my respect --any firefight is a good firefight in the PvP zone.
  6. Wasteland is pure PvP, without mods. For it to be so popular bodes well for all pvp players. Remember, Playable Netcode only came to Arma with the v.60 patch, X-mass, 2011 --'bout a year and a half ago. Consider, without v.60, Dayz would have been a non-starter as a PvP. So here we are with Arma3 --servers full of people shooting at eachother, and not shooting at lame AI. People are developing A&S, C&H, even TDM modes which will blow our minds once we move to the big island. We are gonna see logistics and teamwork at a whole new level just in straight-up vanilla. I see Wasteland as 'gateway drug' to some serious organized TvT down the road. Arma2 was about coop; Arma3 is about PvP. The future is bright. Find a server you like and support it. Find some Bros in that server and buddy-up, form fireteams and squads. Play hard, kill the enemy and know, the enemy are just as motivated to kill you.

    Minimum requirements?: -CPU: Intel Dual-Core 2.4 GHz / AMD Dual-Core Athlon 2.5 GHz -GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT / AMD Radeon HD 3830 / Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 512 MB VRAM Man, those are low specs indeed. Hard to believe the intel gfx would work at all. Try 800x600 rez w/800m view distance? If it runs, it's tweakable. Good luck!
  8. It's the air foil. weathervane effect. Same reason pedals don't work at high speed. Some helos have horizontal stabalizers --the air-stream pushes the tail down at high speed.

  10. Yes, Dale and the RGG have run 50 vs 50 in Arma2 for years. Trusted people to play with. For sign up, i'd rather just meet on your TS server before the match? Hope all TvT players take note of this and try to attend. Good Luck!
  11. Once in a while i get that. Alt+Tab out and back in again fixes it for me.
  12. Think it's a packet-loss issue. Rarely happens joining a low ping server, below 100ms.

    Bitrate fill does that, like scope/unscope thru grass and forrest. Vsync helps alot with 'tearing'.
  15. PvP, the main point is not how far you run, but how much you carry. In Arma2, can carry heavy anywhere just like light infantry. So, there's no light infantry; no advantage to a light loadout. Big part of why armour assets get pawnt in a2 is 'cause light infantry get to bring at/rpg with a butt load of rockets. Worst part about Arma infantry is the absurd amount of firepower carried.
  16. Did alittle testing..., seems canted tilt on aco doesn't throw the aim point out as would be expected. Years ago, i mounted a scope on a mk4 enfield with a tap&block kit --Scope was like near 3" above the barrel. Boy, she was finicky..., slight tilt off the level she'd drop 6-8" and pull 2-3", at 300yds sighted. Put alot of 'english' on that rifle. Canting effect is real. We should have true balistics.

    How is multiplayer..?

    Been playing Team Death Match, TDM, lately. Short, sharp meeting engagements. Rounds last 40-60 minutes at most. Friendly icons on, easy to buddy up on the fly; limited load-outs, so not many scoped sniper-tards. Simple fire & maneuver is a great way to train-up your avatar.

  19. Interesting, and it make sense. Did we have un-canted lean at first? Seems i remember it reported as a bug?
  20. The team death match, TDM, server i play on is often full. It's full right now, with 50 slots. Maybe there's room for more TDM servers?
  21. Right now, 3:30pm Eastern Standard: Players Online: 1578 Servers Online: 568 Not bad for a small content release. Once the big island, battle-eye, and server tools roll out, we'll see more MP players. Meanwhile, there's enough players online to find a fight.
  22. So, a bit more testing shows cpu temp mid 70sC. is too hot for MP --cpu is a i5-665 @3.2 stock. Thermal specs call 72C. max. Guess i need to re-mount with new thermal paste and think about a better heatsink. But for now, the house fan is keeping temps mid 60sC. and keeping me in MP servers.
  23. Fatigue and encumbrance system is part of A3. Set your own parameters or join a server configed to your preferance. In a PvP fight, fatigue limits load-out. A limited load-out means soldiers need to make hard choices on gear. Light infantry don't get to run around with a 100kg kit; not every soldier has a stack of rockets at hand. To each his own. All Bis has to do is offer the choice.
  24. The terrain is a joy to PvP on. Stances allow avatars to use cover much better than A2. Terrain and movement alone will make A3 a classic.
  25. Yesterday, after repeated freeze/crash/"Arma not responding" trouble playing MP, I opened the side panel and set a house fan blowing the case. No more freezing in MP for the rest of the night. Opening map or inventory didn't freeze or crash either. The cpu/gpu temps aren't very high under load and not a problem in SP. So, can't say why it worked. But i'll continue testing and let you all know if forcing more air into the case is a real option for this problem.
