We're lucky to have milsim groups whom are willing to pay for and admin public servers. Most hardcore milsim groups password their servers --and who can blame them? For me, best thing 'bout milsimming is the training..., theory & practice. And it takes alot of practice to get a formation tuned-up. The milsim groups who allow any Joe-Blow on to their servers must rely on a random player's willingness, attitude and respect. Without willingness, attitude and respect --why would anyone want to join a public milsim server?

Oktyabr covered just about all troubleshooting angles. I'd wonder if the cpu/gpu temps are normal? A dead gpu fan? Maybe a bad sector on the hard disk causing the read arm to skip? Think there's apps you can d/l to test the hdd. If it ain't software, it's hardware. GL!

Connectivity ..., try un-installing any anti-virus software.

"Right button hold" will work --just hold down the button in the config window. Tactical Battlefield, in the filter type: tacbf. GL!

Any PvP is good PvP. Try'em all. The main thing is to stick with a server you like...; be a regular..., talk to the admins..., and even throw a donation to the server if you can. As your play-time, or desires change, keep looking, and support, the server that meets your needs. As i said..., there's no bad PvP.

In regards to mouse sensitivity, most gaming mice allow quick, on-the-fly, ajustments to dpi. On my razer, holding mouse4 'clutches' down to 500dpi, and on release, 3500dpi. Spinning in prone ought to be fast. The annimation doesn't show the true transition a rifleman makes to the right/left/rear. Hence; it looks funky, but it should be quick. Blame the annimations, not the speed of transition.

Sticky mines sound cool --it's the BEEP BEEP BEEP sound that makes placing mines a buzz kill.

Don't judge ping by the gamespy browser...; it's often 20-30% lower once ingame. I've never had a problem with pings up to 160ms --Main problem with higher pings is dropped packets leading to timing-out.

How much ram you got?

"....ever watched that competition where they ski for a few kilometers, pick out their rifle, shoot standing up, hit 5 targets then continue skiing?" ..., so easy to do, they hand out medals to the best of those marksmen. In the old days, they shot military carbines, not these lite-weight .22s.

3gig ram on win64-bit ain't alot, little to spare. --shut down as many backround progs as you can --don't use areo, use 'classic' theme. GameBooster3 does a good job shutting down un-needed backround programs. --it also monitors cpu temp. 65c. is ok, but up in the 70+C., may get unstable. May want to run 'memtest'..., to see if the ram is throwing errors under load. Can try flushing gf memory in game by typing: LeftShift + Numberpad- flush [that's numberpad minus "-" btw.] Keep trying, good luck!

View distance, object quality ..., the usual suspects. In MP, ajust your settings to the server. May want to monitor the cpu temps. The 4570k ought to do well, but if it's over hot it will punk out out like any cpu. Good Luck!

You can hear the game world, but not your rifle firing? You using 7.1 sound?

For testing, best to uninstall the AV completely --Dwarden suggested this for the AVG software.
