I'm on a quad core system with 8GB and a HD4850 video card here. I was a little worried about frame rates while playing the beta but the full game gives me very smooth game play on 1680x1050 resolution. Did play around with video settings a bit but still enjoy excellent graphics and a great flight model. This.game.is.amazing. Thank you Bohemia!

Speed and altitude are linked. As mentioned before you pull the nose up to decrease speed. Altitude will increase at this point so you lower collective to compensate, ideally at the same time. If you enable auto-hover your horizontal speed will be brought to zero. A great place to start maneuvering to the landing zone by making small adjustments. Ground effect may confuse you a bit when landing though. Guess SimWare is using ADSL for uploads if it has to take so long. I run a couple of webservers myself and really can't believe the slowness of it all. The files have been available since a couple of hours. My last part just finished downloading from SimWare, I'll report back with file/install validity once I get everything installed. Hi Kludger, thanks for the advice. You may be right about that but I'll let someone else take care of the refund if they don't deliver what they should. They give the impression the game is available for the market Oct 27 but the listed files are still beta at the time of writing. No matter what, I'm playing the full game this weekend. Cheers!

No answer to my second email either (only info@simw.com seems to be answered). Guess I'll wait until tomorrow before I'll start pushing for a refund and make an order elsewhere.

Still no changes on SimWare. I've emailed them and they told me they were uploading the files. Dear Customer, Take On Helicopters is currently uploading on our servers and will be available within a couple of hours. Once fully uploaded, it will be automatically added to your download account. That was 8 hours ago. I just hope to get things done before the weekend starts, really wish I placed my order elsewhere.

I've had no problems landing the helicopter so far (expert mode without auto-hover as I like to learn things the hard way) but choose open terrain for landing. Not very accurate but at least I can land. My forward speed is kept very low and I use a tree or building as a reference point at a 10:00 or 14:00 position. When ground effect kicks in I decrease collective and reduce ground speed towards zero. Must add that I could not do this without my controller but will give that a try too.
