Battleye kick because of ping (SUGGESTION)
SavageCDN replied to febrirays's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
...and there is a reason for it as well.. players with high pings cause desync and other problems for the rest of the players. Your only recourse is to find a server closer to you with a lower ping. -
"Thank You" Card for Bohemia Interactive ArmA 3 Team (sign up and thank them)
SavageCDN replied to rehtus777's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
Signed on behalf of everyone at Veterans-Gaming.com :239: -
The 'unofficial' word is that ACE3 is in development and will be released after the full game release (probably months after.. if not longer). I'm not sure what that entails exactly... I'm sure there will be some content and more likely some mechanics changes... but what exactly no one knows except the ACE devs

Dynamic-AI-Creator (DAC) V3.0 released
SavageCDN replied to silola's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I don't think that will be a problem although you might want to attempt to contact the author if you plan on releasing missions for IF using DAC. Note that some DAC stuff doesn't work with IF.. it's been a while since I've played with it but if memory serves respawn camps don't work unless you set them as camp ID 11 (the null camp that is just a spawn point...no objects or AI). There were other issues as well so be advised.. test, test, test ;) No problem glad I could help out. Still hoping someone (more knowledgeable than I) will step up and iron out the problems with DAC in A3 :p -

How are you administrating your server?
SavageCDN replied to travisneids's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Really? Of all the crap posted this is what gets your goat? Perhaps you need: a - more coffee b - less coffee c - some soothing, relaxing reggae to take your mind off your troubles Unbelievable how a possibly interesting post can turn into a rant where you're obviously touting how much 'better' you are than us :) -
:bounce3: This is now extra fun with the 300kph hatchback :p

MSO does this sometimes.. if you have NOMAAD turned on try disabling it to see if the error goes away.

1-2 FPS on Altis and 60 fps on stratis.
SavageCDN replied to SpacemanSpiff's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
^ i can confirm this does indeed work. Still get drops to 1FPS at times (if I teleport to a new spot I assume it's loading all the textures or something), but otherwise steady at 40-50FPS -
You can also look at doing joint ops with other (small) communities.. this keeps things fresh and gives the opportunity to see how other groups function. We do this ourselves and with a little planning it can be great!! Also if you're interested we do MSO joint-ops (upto 32 players) - PM me for more details

lol I am at work eyeing a 64bit Windows 7 computer... I might 'borrow' it for a while if I can fit my video card inside -
Server for Canadians and Europeans?
SavageCDN replied to progamer's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
no experience personally with HFB.. just Alpha Networks (our old host) and Hetzner I assume you'll be using Windows? Make sure you know a bit about server admin and read up before making major changes. Enable the firewall on the server and configure it properly. Change the default RDP listen port to something other than 3389 (assuming that's what you will use for remote access). Are you running multiple servers? If so you might want to look at some management software like TCAdmin but that will cost you an additional $15/month. Make sure you run different Arma servers on their own core. For Arma get the best CPU you can - drive space doesn't matter as much and neither does RAM (as long as you have at least 8GB). SSDs are nice but if they are giving you 6gbps SATA drives then you should be OK without SSD. 100mbit is more than enough for connection speed unless you plan on running 64-player MSO servers :) -

1-2 FPS on Altis and 60 fps on stratis.
SavageCDN replied to SpacemanSpiff's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Good news (well...sorta) that they've narrowed it down to 32bit OS Here's my post from the feedback tracker: Same issue - changing in-game video settings makes no (or very little) difference - testing done with 500m view distance - tried with -noLogs - tried validating steam files - tried shift numpad - (flush) after each change - same test in editor (place one unit hit preview) on Stratis gets 60FPS On Altis: - if I start in the water far from land - 30FPS - starting on a small island - 15FPS - starting at main airfield - 2FPS Character in 3rd person view gets graphical glitches (flashes) and other strangeness like stretched-neck syndrome Also after this happens (drop to 2FPS) exiting back to the main menu does not help (still runs slooooow) I need to quit the game and re-launch. Windows 7 32bit i7 920 GTX 570 4GB RAM Game on SSD drive -
Also remember people will vote yes cause they don't get 'great' FPS but has nothing to do with the ~0 FPS issue Could you post specs for both rigs?
-
Damnit that would have been easy!!
-
intel i7 920 GTX 570 4GB RAM Windows 7 32bit Game on SSD drive -noLogs used or not same FPS In fact pretty much any video setting in-game makes no difference (testing with 500m VD) -starting in water far away from land gives me 30 FPS on Altis -starting on land (small island) gives me 15 FPS -starting on land at the main airport gives me 2 FPS -same test on Stratis (one guy in editor hit preview) 60 FPS
-
From reading the feedback tracker could it be 32bit OS that is the connection? http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=13345 http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=13343
-
I have the same problem... if I start in the water far away from land I can get 30 FPS but it grinds down to 1-2 on land. View distance 500m. In editor plop down one unit hit preview. Same on Stratis gives me 60 FPS

Scripting Radio Channel for arma 3...
SavageCDN replied to Abima's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Oh I agree but perhaps he's creating a public mission or something and wants to lock 'er down... there's always one idiot who gets shot and types it out in chat since he can't say anything in Teamspeak :p -
Scripting Radio Channel for arma 3...
SavageCDN replied to Abima's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I think he probably wants to avoid players typing in side/global chat and limiting them to just direct. FTLs, etc would have access to sidechat. I don't know if you can do this as disableChannels affects everyone. -
You would need to setup and configure the PDB module in MSO (persistent database). The Nomaad save feature only works until the server or mission are reset. This also requires a database backend (mySQL) and enough knowledge to install and configure it. Check the MSO thread and instructions in the d/l for more info

I think you have to contact Sickboy and ask him to host it on the SU network https://dev-heaven.net/users/3 http://play.withsix.com/support Not 100% sure but I think the 2nd link is the one you want (mod addition requests) What did you think of MSO Fata? I noticed that some of the guys that spawn with the CQB module end up dying for some reason... not sure but they might be falling off buildings or something.
