Can someone confirm if the subtitles are correct? Its hard to believe that the casualties are that high, I understand most of them will be wounded, but still. And what time are they talking about, from the start of the war or just recent casualties? As for the russian military convoy destroyed in Ukraine, where are the fotos and "satellite images" proving it?

I dont know as Ive used neither of them. My guess is that they have more or less same stopping power due to more or less similar calibers and barrel lenghts. And the newer models of the AR-15 family have reportedly better reliability than the first versions. Id go with a G36 though, it has an optical and reflex visors in the standard version, is very precise, not hard to (dis-)assemble and also quite reliable if you clean it (just like every other rifle). I see this topic evolving into "Ill just post my favorite rifle here" :D

Well although I agree with you that the US justice seems to be more reasonable in that cases, the thing is that for example if there is a prison sentence for deliberately murdering someone in Germany, youll get that prison sentence if you do it. Self defense is another case, for example if someone has killed someone in self defense, there will be a police investigation, and as long as it is proven that the killing was really in case of self defense AND the killer did not kill deliberately (for example he was afraid of his life (therefore couldnt think clearly) and not like in us when you can just shoot someone who is sleeping drunk in front of your door and its totally ok) you get no prison sentence or any penalty at all. But yeah I do dislike how the pedophiles and other maniacs are treated like victims in the EU although they might have tortured/killed people repeatedly. Im not a logistics expert, but my guess is that a truck with half load can move faster and with less fuel consuption than a fully loaded truck. I dont know, maybe 300 trucks with half load are faster and cheaper than 150 fully loaded trucks. Or it was just to make it look bigger. So these humanitarian aid is there unlike the aid from the ukrainian government (we have seen some photos of some trucks, nothing more, where is it and when will it arrive) who were denying that there was a humanitarian crisis in eastern Ukraine until the russians have sent their convoy. I admit it might be a troyan horse move (dont compare it to Georgia 2008 though, even the NATO governments have admitted that it was georgian army who started shelling residential areas in South Ossetia first) but for now its the only help that the people in eastern Ukraine will see. But yeah as long as it comes from Russia its evil even if it helps people, but everyone should praise the ukrainian government who either dont do shit or fuck everything up.

Cities are a strategic objective and it is normal be it conventional or civil war that many battles are carried out around or within cities including residential areas. And in the case of insurgency city battles are the only possible way to fight or be annihilated by superior forces. Was is cowardice of the Red Army to fight in the streets of Stalingrad? Was it cowardice of the polish resistance to fight in the streets of Warsaw during the Warsaw Uprising 1944?

So basically the government allows SWAT to purchase whatever they wish, and they do it, which I can understand since you always want to have as much toys as possible and be prepared for anything. The driving power behind this militarization really seems to be the weapons lobby. MRAPs also make sense for SWAT teams, I was thinking SWAT was rather using busses to transport large teams and apprehended suspects. Im still amazed how the guys are using their ammunition. We were always jealous of the american soldiers in Grafenwöhr since they were raining hell down the shooting range while we had to count every shot and every cartridge (10 rounds given - 10 rounds taken).

Dude now think again what would happen if Russia would really smuggle weapons to eastern ukraine in that convoy. The ukrainian troops WILL check every single truck there, because they WANT to find weapons there. Now the idea that the ukrainian troops want to place the load on other trucks when the russian convoy raches the ukrainian border makes me think that the humanitarian aid meant for the people in eastern ukraine will land in the ukrainian army (which is poorly supplied as well). Also they might place some weapons among the humanitarian goods and claim they were there when they started unloading the trucks.

As Ive read in news, the humanitarian aid was agreed between russian, ukrainian, us and eu autorities. It will be superwised by Red Cross and the trucks will pass through appointed checkpoints into ukraine. My guess is there will be offcials from all sides at that checkpoints, otherwise ukrainian politicians would already scream (similarly to what beastcat is already doing) in all newspapers about russian tanks, warships, nuclear bombs, younameit, hidden in those trucks. Besides it is usual practice to utilize military when sending humanitarian aid somewhere as military has the required logistics.

I wouldnt wonder about it, those are most likely mercenaries just like that italian merc from a video posted here a while ago. Nothing unusual about it. I have also heard reports of chechen mercs fighting on both sides. They dont fight for political issues, money is what counts. Just read this Wikipedia article, especially the sequence of events. 320 is three hundred and twenty and that was only Day 8, and only 240 of them are considered Hamas operatives, its not even proven they are Hamas. 750 homes damaged, 150 destroyed, yeah such a peaceful police investigation. Here you have your hundreds arrested people. Not a single shot fired in the West Bank? No one killed?

One thing I do not understand though. The reason why the current war has started. First three israeli teenagers were kidnapped. Instead of going with a police investigation (which should be done) IDF starts searching palestinian houses arresting hundreds and killing everyone who opposes, as if they wanted to escalate the whole thing right away. Then the three teenagers are found dead and the next day one palestinian teenager is being murdered. The day after all hell breaks loose. The rockets started flying after the war started because its like the only offensive weapon Hamas have got. Im not protecting them. I just want to point out that it seems that Israel wanted a war and it got it. I also highly doubt it was Hamas who killed those three teenagers, why would they do it? Usually if a terrorist organization kills someone to make a statement, they film it and make that statement. This was not the case this time. It might have been some criminal gang, or a psychopath, or Shin Bet who did it to create a casus belli. And whats the point of killing children who play on a beach?
