    That would definitely be nice to see. :D This kind of addon was much needed, in my opinion. 73 Eastings, DMA Libya, and Afghanistan. I've also considered using them with Lost Brothers mod on Sinai. Woodland/Jungle environments are nice and all, but ya gotta have desert. Not sure why, but desert battles have always intrigued me the most for some odd reason.
  2. So Silverhawk gave us the go ahead to modify his Mammoth Tank. Yay! This gives us a chance to also make a Soviet Mammoth Tank for whenever we do Red Alert (or what I also like to call Brotherhood Rising: Red Tide), which will essentially be a prequel expansion.
  3. That will actually come in handy whenever I do miscellaneous stuff relating to Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. xD One small step for bear, one giant leap for Mother Russia!
  4. Thanks. Believe it or not I just fixed it all earlier. I fixed the turret rotation in Oxygen and also fixed the mass as well, so now everything moves properly! My eyes have been so strained today. Lol. ---- So here's my credits list so far: Sanctuary (WW4 Infantry models and resources) krzychuzokecia (his edits and continuing help) Maczer (Orca, Apache, Helipads, a few words of help) BIS (for any retexture I do on those models - I mean of course people have been re-texturing them as far back as pretty much the game's release) Stu (100% free use of his harvesters) noob1 (in which I'll be using some of his atmosphere/terrain tweaks) [anyone else I'm missing?] Waiting for permission: Silverhawk (to reskin and modify his Mammoth tank. I'm not so much as even touching it until the okay is given. I e-mailed him, still no reply) I'm posting this in-case I need to add on to it and such, also so that people know I have permission to reskin/re-config things. I'd never edit anything without permission (unless they strictly say you don't need permission in a readme or something, but credits will always still be given. I follow a code of honour here). :)
  5. So this was a quick reskin, but it doesn't want to drive and turn the turret. Then again, reskinning armoured vehicles are a bit different from doing trucks/cars/infantry. There's moving parts. The strange thing is that the tracks/wheels move, but the vehicle itself stays in place. When aiming and firing weapons, the turret doesn't even turn. Probably an issue on my end (yet again), but I can fix it once I figure out how to. I think those two spots are enough for now. Anyhow, I'm going to go look in the editing section to see how I can fix this issue regarding it not moving and such.   6. Oh yes, quite. The donations and the help I'm getting here is amazing. Hopefully some sort of public build will come out soon so people can test them. If I can get into contact with Silverhawk, I was hoping to modify his Mammoth tank a little bit to make my own gritty war version of it. Base it on the classic tan texture (what I like to call Pre-Renegade). Also make it so it doesn't require BAS Desert Rangers for the crew (we'll have our own crew of course). Does anyone know if Silverhawk is still around? :) So I managed to do a slight edit to Maczer's config, so 1.96ers can enjoy the mod too. For some reason or another, my 1.99 CWA has been screwing up things with his stuff, but 1.96 works flawlessly with everything. Weird or is my 1.99 version messed up? I even took out all the mods and tried it on a clean build. Something's always messed up or another on my end! After always seeing those cinematics from the old game, I always wanted to fly one proper - this is as close as I'll get to that reality! CNC Renegade was a step closer to this kind of reality. Hey Noob1, how is it making islands? I want to start making islands based on classic CNC terrains. Also, will start modeling in Blender eventually. I just wanted to flesh out how much progress has been made as of late! Mod will not die, I assure you.
  7. Well after a lot of work today, I retextured Stu's GDI and Nod Harvesters for use in CNC BR. His addon was 100% free for use and was unfinished, so I brought it upon myself to retexture them and fix up the configs that came with them.   9. Revan here. From now on, this mod will be under a new title! This title will reflect an overall arcing 'story' we've come up with. This thread will also be renamed to the mod's title. This is still going to be the same mod, of course, but we've decided on a presumably, final title and overall story (the story will be posted in due time). But do not think that our story will limit mission makers to our 'universe', no - far from. If anything, hopefully people will be able to mix and match things to their own CNC fantasy. :) The mod's name is now Brotherhood Rising. I will make a proper logo and banner for it later this evening or tomorrow. I hope that, when the story is posted, people will like it. Long time Command and Conquer fans of all universes should appreciate the effort at the very least. :) Also, more content is coming soonish. Can't give an exact date.
  10. I'll probably use that first environment for the early stages of Tiberian Dawn era. That last one is perfect for when it gets into Tiberian Sun. :D Glad people are interested in this!
  11. Eventually if I get a modeler. It will definitely be a part of the aircraft package/phase. I was hoping the style for the Orca will be similar to the Renegade model, but a little more detailed. I'll just be happy if I can get the infantry phase done at least. I've been discussing my plans with a select few and I think you guys will hopefully like what we've been coming up with (at least on the idea front, it'll take quite awhile for the content to catch up with the dream here). In the end, we hope to have so much content from all the universes that mission makers and OFP players here can experiment with their own dream of their own CNC timelines (or continue in one of the existing ones) and such. :)
  12. Hey sure, I don't mind at all! :) My vision is that it'll be some kind of community effort. As long as we're keeping this game alive by any means, that's all that matters.

  14. Unfortunately life/work has been getting in the way, so no real progress has been done (I apologize). I'm thinking that as I make progress (when I can get to it. Work schedule has been sucking so much lately) I'll just keep releasing like little updates, demos, and such so that people can test them out and say, "There's something wrong with feature X that conflicts with feature Y." etc etc. Do not worry, as there's still massive interest in this. I just kinda wish I had a bigger team of sorts. I'm not really all that good at making addons, which is why this is going to be a good learning project for me as people could give me hints/tips to make the project just a bit more convenient/easier to work on so that it won't be too frustrating. Honestly I'm much better on the reskinning/texturing front than I am actually compiling .pbo's and making/modifying configs, but this project will be a huge trial and error experience, though I feel the end result is going to be completely worth all the frustration. Obviously as I learn things, I can go back and touch up on other things that I've made/help make before and further add to the polishing and overall quality.

    Man, this is amazing. You've accomplished so much in so little time. I created a successful...what? Two whole units in the past year (admittedly, work hasn't helped this)? Man, this is what I call awesome! Keep up the great work!
  17. Thanks! It was a pain at first to get everything in-game. It's a lot to take in. :) Glad you're liking them! Thanks for the comment! I was never good at making missions or campaigns, but I was hoping in the future for some, yes. I was thinking of trying to recreate to an extent every mission from both the GDI and Nod perspectives from the game, as well as the Covert Operations and eventually some stuff inspired by Renegade. For now I just want to get the playable content out. I may do some simple 'Seek and Destroy' demo missions that are similar to how the early CNC95 missions go. For GDI I'd need a hovercraft for the initial beach landings with the infantry, HMMWV's, and Mobile Construction Vehicle (obviously not all features from CNC95 can be implemented, because MCV's have unpack and repack animations, so the MCV's and Construction Yards will have to be just for show for the most part. And the pilot-able MCV's would be nothing more than a truck. I might even make some convoy protection missions involving those. But right now, concentrating on the infantry. I may do a quick HMMWV and M113 reskin later (if I can get a good Buggy model for Nod, that'd be awesome!) so that the grunts can get around, but I want to get basic fireteams available before that. My ideal CNC95 GDI and Nod Fireteam would really only consist of 4 minigunners and 1 officer. Why only a 5-man group? When the infantry were trained at the Barracks and Hand of Nod structures respectfully, they would, one at a time, form a small 5 man formation in front of the structure. I may make 5-man AND 12-man squads. GDI - Nod Fireteam: 4 Minigunners (aka Riflemen) + 1 Officer (fireteams, if I recall are usually between 3-6 man groups, so 5 is a good medium anyways, I think) GDI - Nod 12-man Squad: 7 Minigunners + 1 Officer + 1 AT + 1 AA + 1 Machinegunner + 1 Grenadier As I make progress, I'll update the WIP thread.

    Yeah, the good 'ol days. Why I remember the time my assistant Javelin gunner shot me in the ass by accident and we had to restart that mission. That was fun! And then the time I wrote my blood in the grass after we all got shot and we were crawling everywhere. Oh, and then there was that time we all went into an apartment building via fast roping and then I nearly got away in a Mini Cooper! Good times, good times. Got a better computer now by the way, so game on if we ever can. I'm off this coming weekend if anyone's available for an operation.

    I think I know why the Mega.co.nz link wasn't working for me. I think my current browser is messing up for everything, even OFPr.info mirrors. It's being selective, so I'm going to switch browsers for awhile. That OFPr.info link decided to work for me in, of all browsers, Internet Explorer (eww). In any case, thanks JdB and Zulu!. :) Binmod 0.99 is currently downloading finally. I guess some browsers get picky after awhile. Hasn't done this until yesterday.

    Yes, it is rather worth it, biowaste. :) Played with Binmod quite a bit for CWA aka 1.99 and the features in it are quite impressive.
