That'd be nice, Zulu. Been meaning to get back into MP. Didn't mean to vanish from all the OFP games we had in late 2011. :P
-
Not necessarily 'looking' for an existing addon, but here's an idea of a full mod I would want (also would be awesome for MP). So I requested stuff about Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn (not Tiberian Sun) and I got some great replies here, but I shall post a full on unit list/buildings list that I typed up awhile back of things I'd like to see proper eventually (originally typed this up for a movie I wanted to make, but that movie idea would likely never be brought to life, so why not use the list for other things?). Like if someone would like to pick up a mod that would make said units/defenses/vehicles. Or I could ask to be pointed to where I could reskin existing units to get the basics of what I'd want? Dunno how well that'd work, though. Here's the list if someone's interested in making a full on proper Tiberian Dawn mod (sadly the units that were linked to me, while the links worked, the mods on them have moved on from OFP, and that's saddening):

Very nice! :D

I've got to stop missing these game nights. I have OFP watch but the sad part is that when I have it on, games appear on it after I have gone to bed. *sigh* Those couple games we had together were awesome, though.
-
Oh, so that's why OFPWatch wasn't showing it up? I see. Figured something like that happened.
-
I just wanna be able to blow up tanks with Javelins along side some friends and then get overwhelmed by tons of Russian infantry! :P Seriously, though....fun times, fun times. Technically, any time is open for me, unless I am otherwise AFK or....distracted.

Ah, I see. :) I know there's a CNC mod for ArmA 2, "Decades of Tiberian", but I just wish there was a full scale mod still going for OFP. It'd be pretty awesome seeing an Obelisk frying a GDI armored force as it rolls in, or perhaps an Orca dodging all sorts of Nod SAM Site installations. If a full scale CNC mod was made, I'd pretty much be in heaven, since for years I was wanting to do a few short movies relating to the Tiberium universe and the Red Alert universe.
-
Huh. Those are actually released? I didn't even see those on ofpr.info. Guess I just didn't look hard enough. Tiberian Sun is also a pretty cool era. It's a shame all those mods went to the newer games. Really all I ever wanted was CNC stuff in OFP and possibly ArmA 1. I don't have the specs to run ArmA 2 (sadly this computer I'm on can't even run ArmA 1 well at all either). I thank you for those links, though!

I feel like I requested this before, but it could have been another forum, but I am requesting an addon for OFP/ACWA relating to any and all Command and Conquers. There were a few addons I found such as that GDI Mammoth tank that was ported from CNC Renegade, but I would like things like buildings and such. I saw a few full mods, but they're either shut down or they moved onto the sequels. Buildings such as the Barracks, Brotherhood of Nod Obelisk, Watch Tower, Hand of Nod, things like that. Also if it's not too hard to make new units out of existing BIS units and reskinning those, I would like to do things like that. The Orca from Renegade would be cool too, but I doubt people like porting from other games and there's a question about legality, so I understand, so perhaps someone who's willing to model Tiberian Dawn era units and buildings (defenses too), that would be quite awesome. I have an extensive description of a unit list somewhere on my external about what I'd like to see in a Command and Conquer addon pack. I also saw a Soviet Mammoth tank, but I feel the model is...well, lacking (no offense to the maker), it would be excellent if someone could make a more accurate to scaled one, perhaps using the GDI Mammoth from Renegade as a base for scale? A tesla coil would also be cool. I have no idea how hard it is to mod for OFP. If I could learn to basically reskin existing assets, I could put out a few CNC related addons myself. I would like to make a few missions based on some Command and Conquer missions so that'd definitely be a great help. As for me actually getting around to it, I have no idea. The Tiberium universe and Red Alert universe are rather cool, but I always wanted to see those franchises on a more battlefield-style land/sea/air scope in person. Immersion if you will. It'd be pretty cool to assault a Nod base. Just imagine the chaos? Also guys catching ablaze from Tiberium fields? For those here that played CNC95 and remember that kind of stuff, you gotta admit that'd be pretty classic to see in a game such as OFP. Oh and catching people on fire with the Nod Flame Tank? Oh yeah. Also Napalm strikes with A-10's! I think that was on the N64 version, though. That being said, still, I think doing this for OFP would be fun. Imagine if you will a Nod Obelisk charging up and destroying a GDI HMMWV with a high powered laser blast? Talk about epic base defense! Nod Turret firing at a GDI Missile Boat off shore perhaps? Yep. Fun stuff. If anyone agrees with me that this would be cool and fun to experiment with in OFP, give me a holler or reply here, please! Kinda wanted to throw this idea out there. I mean we already have a Warhammer mod. Why not Command & Conquer?

Why do I keep missing these things! I keep getting so distracted. >_<
-
It's a shame I haven't been keeping up with you guys. Definitely let me know of the next match along with the proper addon folder setup and .pbos and I'll hop into the Teamspeak server and we could definitely try another awesome mission. Marto, Zulu, and I had an awesome couple of missions last time I was on the server. Good to see those are still going on.
-
Same. I've been so distracted lately. Eh.
-
Thanks for the heads up! Been meaning to play some more, but got sidetracked!
-
I'm gonna try and make it to the next one unless there happens to be a game tonight randomly.
-
I played with Marto and Zulu at around 10:00 PM or so my time and it was really fun. Pretty awesome coordination. Both of the missions were a success (to be fair, we had to restart the second one because there was a little foul up with the BMD-3's) when I played, so it was an awesome couple of rounds. I got a screenshot of the large pillar of smoke behind us as we drove away to the exfil point on the first mission. Sadly we lost Zulu in that one, because he got turned to swiss cheese as he manned a DShK. He was to the back left in this screenshot if I believe, near the rocks, on top of another dude's body (don't ask. :P). Don't worry, the body was eventually given proper burial. We don't leave men behind.....usually. :P Hopefully I'll be there the next time as well to bask in the awesomeness of co-op action...or get a nice helping of vitamin Pb...or both.
-
Oh, so it was just an accented character? I see. Alright.
-
Thankfully I don't have to worry about this. :D For those that do, I recommend people downloading the combined archive - much more convenient IMO. PS - Get better soon. Was a bit tired and ill last night myself.
-
I'll be sure to jump on and play sometime tonight or tomorrow if you're willing. I'm up for coop any day of the week, because I love coop! Basically time, place, I'm there if I'm not distracted by family. lol
-
Oh....so that's what it is? I did think the weird characters were....well...weird.
-
If you need me to find it, I can search for it. Edit - Scratch that, found it. I have no idea what it is, but if you need me to send it to you, let me know.
-
Indeed, indeed. Same goes to you. :) Was def fun. :D
-
Pacific mission! Finally. Fighting on the Western front is fun and all, but I love the Pacific front as well. The LOL servers have been my concentration lately, next to the TacOps server.
-
I am extremely interested in the TacOps WGL Nights as well as the OFP FDF Night. Also, I'm getting a new rig soon supposedly, so performance should greatly increase. This laptop I'm on can only handle so much. If I get my rig updated, I may even be able to finally play ArmA 2, so stay tuned for that. CiA really is a great group. Glad you guys are keeping OFP in the mix!
-
Yay! WGL time soon? Haha. :)
