Ofcourse it's not like FSX or X-Plane. It's waaaay better :) Ok, in the end I don't mind military helicopters in ToH, but please don't forget about us - civil pilots. Thank you! :)

Cant agree with this. Potential of TOKH is very big so why only civil helis? Hinds addon isnt very perfect but I hope BIS will improve it. TOKH is good idea for all helicopters including civil and military for me. Maybe in te future we will have more DLC and You will choose Your way - civil or military addons? Because ToH IS civil helicopters simulator. And because soon there will be ArmA 3 which IS military simulator where hind and other military helicopters belong. What would be the point to improve ToH when it's gonna be the same game as Arma 3? Will anyone buy Apache DLC for ToH if one can buy Apache DLC for Arma 3?

I think that BIS is releasing HIND because this comunity is small and they want it bigger. They need more customers. Well I understand that, it's business after all. There is more people who likes military games than civil games, so such awesome heli as Hind would probably bring here a lot of new gamers. And that's good, cause this way ToH can develop. But, as AZY said, this is civil game. I don't want it to be military one. Arma 3 is coming. I'm sure we will see some of ToH FM features in Arma 3. So if someone wants to fly military choppers - wait for Arma 3, it's not far away. ToH comunity is small because there is no MP here. The multiplayer is the key to success in nowadays games. Some short 10mission, 4hour single player campaign will not keep the players interested for too long. I know there is editor, but making interesting missions is not easy. And even if someone will spend a week or two to make some complex one, you can play it once or twice. Then it becomes boring. If you want to make MP mission... well whoever tried knows how hard it is. I have tried, and you know what? After all that testing the mission which I was making wasn't interesting for me to play any more! So whats the point? The game should be fun, not time consuming, learning complex scripting languages, digging forums and wikis for propper function names and procedures. When I've finished SAR 4 campaign some years ago I thought "this game is awesome, I'd like to see a little bit more complex FM and systems and propper MP and I wont play anything else". Then Black Shark was released. After I learnt how to start it I thought "would be great if someone can make old good Eurocopter HH-65 Dolphin with all that complex systems like in DCS." And then The Great Day has come. I've first time read about Take On Helicopters. "Oh My God! My dreams come true! The civil helicopter simulation with multiplayer, switching controls between pilots, propper systems management, working FLIRS, searchlights, winch system, fastroping and big open world!!" I was so excited that I've preordered it stright away. Couple of months later it was finally released. And... i've finished campaing and all missions in two days. Than I've switched to MP, five or six sessions with Ziggy clearing Sydney subburbs and some "circle races" and that was it. No fastroping in MP - it doesn't work, no complex winch system (anyone in BIS played SAR series?), you can't even use FLIR system at night cause pilot needs nightvision googles to fly and he can't use it because of HDR. So I've decided to make Yeehaa mission with cows. After two months I had enough. Nothing worked like it should. Maybe I'm to stupid to write those scripts... maybe. I'm programist, I write in Java. Thats my job. I have great hope in Java scripting in ToH. I hope BIS will make propper winch system and fastrope working in MP, I hope my dreams can still come true! Take On Helicopters is great simulator, it only needs some polish in appropriate areas, and those are NOT military. -

I'm not sure but i think that the name of the folder should end with .South_Asia_H So sth like SlingLoadMission.South_Asia_H will do. -
I'm currently building my first ever mission which happens at late afternoon. So I'm using night vision goggles. Problem is that when heli gauges (which are illuminated) are in my line of sight the whole scene is getting darker and darker down to the point when only gauges are visible. It's not possible to fly like this. Can someone tell me how to avoid this effect? Can I turn off HDR completely? AFAIK it's not possible to turn off gauge illumination...

Gauges are illuminated always when engine is running. Battery does not switch it off unfortunatelly.

Bump! Question to the modders. Is it possible to remove gauges illumination? Or maybe someone can port this mod to ToH? -> GDT Mod HDR

Sling load missions

"Nice" bug you found there :) Detaching when you're in pilots seat is possible but you have to put CARGO in perferct place/point (marked on the map) not just on destination house's roof. Missing the target sth like couple of meters and it wont detach. GPS (Ctrl+G) should help you do that. -
In ArmA 2 there were three First Aid modules. Can I use them in Take On? If so, how to do this? In editor under F7 key in the dropdown list there are no First Aid modules...

Ok, worked it out! The command: this playActionNow "agonyStart"; works but only in script. It doesn't work when putted in unit's init field. Thank you very much b101_uk! :) -

Tnx for the answer. Unfortunatelly none of above works. Setting damage to 0.91 makes unit unconscious but setting damage back to 0 doesn't make it conscious. I can see that civil is healthy again - the blood and wounds dissapears from his face but he doesn't get up. this playActionNow "agonyStart"; does nothing. Doesn't matter if I set some damage before or not. I've tried above with "this" and also with unit name. None works. :( -

Another question somehow related to Firs Aid Modules (cause it's about firs aid). I want to make a civil unconscious. Let's say he has a car accident. Then I fly my heli to the crash site and treat this civil guy to make him conscious again, put him in a heli and get him to hospital. What I can't do is to make him unconscious. I've tried to put such line in his init field: this setUnconscious true; but it doesn't work. It doesn't matter if I set some damage to this unit or not. Anyone know the solution? EDIT Oh, one more thing. I would like it to work in MP. -

Yes I do but only in stock missions. Missions made by myself in editor are ok. Also there is some bug info "dividing by zero" or sth like that. It has started after last patch. -
Yes, you can delete HSim folder. No, you don't need to reinstall patch 1.03 after that.
