  1. ok so now I have another problem. While trying to fix this before I created a symbolic link to ruby, but I forget where this link was put. now when i run the script i get the following error ./upscript: /home/armaserver2/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/six-rsync-0.8.0/bin/six-rsync: /usr/bin/ruby: bad interpreter: Too many levels of symbolic links I think I need to remove these symbolic links, but I am unsure of where they are.
  2. Hello everyone, Im am trying to setup a dedicated server on Linux. I want to use the legacy six-updater, and the startup script found here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?95139-Linux-dedicated-Server-Update-Script-(Six-Updater-Framework-ACE2) I have followed the instructiond found here:http://www.six-projects.net/Six_Updater_Suite+Linux Now I have modified the script to fit my parameters, location of arma 2 directory, and where six-rsync is installed. when I try and run the script i get the following error: ./upscript: /home/armaserver2/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/six-rsync-0.8.0/bin/six-rsync: /usr/bin/ruby^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory I have gone through the install of ruby, along with some other programs by using this command: apt-get install ruby1.9.1-full p7zip-full rsync . I am logged in as root to avoid any permission issues, and I now have a folder with ruby in my home directory. in the installation instructions fro six-updater they say: I have tried "linking" the install with the following command ln -s /usr/bin/ruby /usr/bin/ruby1.9 But this doesn't seem to help. Now I'm pretty sure that six cannot find my ruby install, but I'm unsure of how to point it in the right direction.   3. Hello everyone, I am running 2 servers on a Linux dedicated box. When I try and run the second server the voip cuts out on both servers. I assume this is a port issue where both servers are using the same port for voip. I have the servers 15 ports apart in the config file. I am just unsure of how to change the voip settings is there a way to change this so they don't use the same port for voip ?

Hello everyone, sorry for yet another post on my failings as a server admin. ok so I tried to update my server with the latest beta patch by copying over the expansions folder from my client. in the process I did a small cleanup of additional mods I was not using on the server (bad idea I guess) the server was working fine before , but now it wont start, or at least its not showing up in the multyplayer browser.   7. ok, so it worked, I am seeing the server now in the multyplayer browser. The problem im having now is the server hangs and I am stuck in waiting for host. I changed the CFG file because i had the default Arma 1 missions. I changed it to the default mp missions for arma 2 from the BIS wikki page, but still no luck. Any ideas on why this is happening ?

  9. Hello everyone, I am having trouble running a second server on my dedicated box. I already have one server up and running fine. I cloned the Arma folder and configs over to a new user account, in order to run a second server. I just changed the port, and am trying to run it vanilla (no mods). the server starts up ok with the script, and shows no errors, but i am unable to find it in multyplayer lobby, and cannot even find it when i connect to the ip (with port). any ideas on why its not showing up ? server startup script server.cfg
  10. Hi, Ive got a linux dedi, now I've installed the beta build(http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?129036-ARMA-2-Operation-Arrowhead-Linux-Server-beta-1-60-87589), copy over and extract. Then ran install and it installed without problems. When I go to run my server, its still on 1.60 not 1.60.87589. Do I need to add (-beta) or some other command to run the server ? did I miss anything ?

  12. The server is running on linux. I checked the server log its not showing anything. host joins, logs in as admin, then crash once you try and select a mission.
  13. Hello everyone, I am running a dedicated server, but I have a problem. Most maps that I try and load onto the server make it crash when I enter the missions screen. I can only get a handfull working right now. Any Ideas on why this is happening ? All the missions were downloaded from armaholic. The server works fine with a few missions, but not the rest.
