	Hello. Will there be get in/get out vechile animations with doors opening like in Far Cry 2? Will every button and part of weapon move like fire mode? Since it is future war game will there be urban indoor combat, underground lighting? ArmA needs to improve 10 year old indoors disasters. Will anything be removed to simplify game for new comers? God I hope ArmA 3 doesn't do the mistakes Red Orchestra 2 did. Thats it for now. BTW: It's been since 2009 and I am not bored of A2, not ready for A3 yet. Time has passed so fast for me ;D I wish to play campaign as "bad guy" kill USA NATO side with Iran, Russia... It's overused in my opinion. Everywhere USA in every game. (I am in NATO, Europe union country, not a fanatic ;)

	Like Dragon said I was curiuos to try it. I always "try" before I buy due to inaccuracies of Demo versions. Some SP games I downloaded played it to the end and bought just to support devs: "Amnesia The Dark Descent, STALKER series".

	I downloaded VBS1 and VBS2 from torrents some time ago. VBS2 animations were same as in ArmA1. It costs so much because it is sold for military and all kinds of companies= for commercial use. Not because it has bunch of units, better editor, and many more features.

So they won't bother to fix this for OA? 1.60 didn't fix.

	Hello. This started few days ago when I played online. Have this problem on A2 only. Doesn't seem to happen on CO. Blocky textures apear only on some types of USMC infantry like: all types of riflemen, AT, designated marksman, scout. All other factions and infantry have lost their tiny facial detail. Most have twitchy eyes and other graphical glitches. Tried flush, changing video memory default to low/very high (always default), restarting A2. EDIT: The guy in the picture is AA though it happens for all USMC missile soldiers.

	  Operation Arrowhead performance optimizations/comparisonsr20 replied to jpinard's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING View Distance, Anti Aliasing (AToC), Terrain Detail, Objects Detail, HDR, Post Processing. These make biggest difference. View Distance should be from 1000 to 3500 according to my FPS. It's the main thing on Benchmark 2. My monitor resolution is 1920x1080, I leave it same for 3D resolution too. So at this resolution I only need Low Anti Aliasing or I can easily play it without AA. In A2OA cfg I set AToC to 7 and depending on FPS I set AA low or disable because I only need AA for trees and grass at 1920x1080. If your resolution is low try playing with AA and AToC do benchmarks and use Fraps! I would advise setting Terrain Detail to disable because AI can see through grass and if server allows most people play wihout terrain detail, so it's big advantage at the cost of eye candy. Or set it to low to see some grass around you for little FPS difference. If you have lag at towns set Objects Detail to very Low. It makes objects far away look blurry but if you are near them or zoom at them they become just as good as at very high. HDR can save 10FPS depending on situation or it can make no difference at all. It enhances lighting, but not at big difference. I prefer Normal. Postprocess effects at Low for good performance and a little motion blur but not for blurring everything around you and causing huge lag. Texture Detail, Anisotropic filtering, Shadow detail at very high. If server allows to change shadow detail at night don't hide in shadows because people can see you there. Video memory at default. If it's very choppy leave these settings at very high and everything else at very low or disable, because these barely make difference. And I am hoping someone explains me GPU_MaxFramesAhead. 1000 or 0 gives best FPS??? I don't see difference.

	I don't understand why ArmA 2 didn't have everything that VBS2 had. Hope A3 will have some of those feautures. (from 5:40) (interaction with objects, trunk, animations etc) (real time editor etc) (shooting out of car etc) And now VBS is A2, A3 and everything else it was before? Why not that editor instead of current one? Seriously, why they don't add all that cool stuff by default in A2 or DLC? WTF? Now I am not sure if A2 is "The ultimate military simulator" as on the box. BTW: Are there any normal players online on VBS2?

Does this fix quiet radio chatter from others when audio control panel format is bigger than 44kHZ (only on OA/CO)? Please respond. I really need to know (so badly). BTW: I am using onboard crappy Realtek High Definition Audio.

	Have you guys played RO2? I dont see reason not to implement as many new features as possible for the sake of diversity, freedom, dinamic gameplay. OFF:TOH NPC's look so robotic just standing. Wonder why bis dont make them: walk around while talking sit down idle...

	Just played TakeOnH. Medium and Heavy helicopters are frustating with torque problem. But light are very easy smooth and fun. Would you like to have all that wind and dinamics and startup on A3? Would make most people stay away from helicopters=good. Those helicopter animations definately could be in ArmA 3. First flight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q14qcGGl5Ss That was yesterday. Today I fly tourists under bridges with medium helicopters.

	What about standing up and running yourself inside APC? And fast animations are better than no animations? Atleast opening car doors teleporting inside and closing doors (Dragon rising/Red river did it)? Like on some vechiles its possible to open cargo doors. What about opening tank hatch standing up on tank, and the player takes over? It doenst have to be for all vechiles and all seats but for most? BTW Will there be tank interior for gunner? ( I don't keep a track of A3 updates) (Ironically DR also had thermal vision before OA did ;D.)

	ArmA III must overhaul the game, it should be improved by miles. I think scopes should look like this Perhaps there could be some kind of cover system not crouching leaning (Notice how he says that it takes 3 months for 1 tank interior.) Another demo. What do you think?

	Exiting a jeep in Far Cry 2 is really fast, same could be for ArmA III. There should definately be APC boarding animations, back doors opening... If there are objects blocking doors they shouldnt open ?... This is a simulator right?

	My best friend 10 years ago bought russian OFP CWC, just because of CD cover ;D. He loved it, showed it for me, I loved it nad another good firend of our's loved it. We were kids playing OFP, not understanding russian but somehow got used to menu hud etc... He also bought resistance later. He lent me his CD, I installed it. Later I bought GOTY. Spent my childhood playing FLASHPOINT. It is so atmopheric, music, NATO and CCCP(USSR), cold war, dark forests, war feeling, hiding in bushes forests, running from fire, BMP's T-72/80, being scared of chacing soviets... We 3 friends gathered together played campaign countless times made missions with our placing units next to each other skills :D. ArmA Armed Assault 1 was kind of crappy for me. ARMA 2 lacks that atmosphere, it's just fun. Just because of reading some threads here, I no longer want to play on Combined Ops MP tonight :D. Better complete Resistance hard mission I saved last time. BTW: Strangely my best friend got me into my only 2 all time favorite games: Operation Flashpoint/ArmA: Cold War Assault or ArmA 0 and Severance: Blade of Darkness. Not advertising, its another 10 year old game action adventure fantasy developed by spanish Rebel Act Studios and published by damm Codemasters. Higly modable. Best sword fighting system to this date, also very atmospheric. Catacombs, fortresses, ancient/medieval feeling, traps, music, tons of weapons, tons of combos, best fight system ever. Game has multiple names in europe and USA. Company went bankrupt after release due to piracy. Great potential for sequal was lost forever. TRAILER: GAMEPLAY: MODS EXAMPLE: Sorry had to let it out. It's nostalgia for these games. Probably you wont find english version of unused game to buy anywhere. Though you could probably download it. PM me for more info like mods and stuff. This is not advertising, the company is dead, there are few copies of the game for sale. Though fan and modders are still active. PS: Will we feel anything simiral about ArmA 2 after 10 years, what we feel about OFP?

	Hello. I am thinking of upgrading my PC for ARMA 2. My current system is: Gigabyte EP45C-DS3R Q9400 2.66GHz GTX 285 4 GB DDR2 800MHz 1TB HDD What do you think would be best? My motherboard supports Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Extreme. Best I could get would be QX9775 3.2 GHz. What about GPU? Will high end GPU like GTX580 will remove all possible lag? RAM? Maybe I need faster and more RAM? SSD maybe? Or maybe good PSU, good cooler and overclocking? But I think my mainboard is locked or something.

	Hello. After I have seen some best ARMA2 videos I got hooked about this idea and thought maybe I should try too. Well I don't expect to make pro looking video because I have little experience with advanced video editing and my in game editing skills are limited. But I got this idea, maybe someone else would like to take it over- like Richiespeed :D Here it is: This video would be based on the movie called Behind enemy lines (2001). The film is centered on the story of an American naval flight officer who was shot down over Bosnia and ends up uncovering a massacre during the Bosnian conflict. The pilot itself is loosely based on the Mrkonjić Grad incident that occurred in 1995 amid the war. Read more on Wikipedia. I chose this because it has one of the most intense and awesome scenes in action war movie.
