  1. Like Dragon said I was curiuos to try it. I always "try" before I buy due to inaccuracies of Demo versions. Some SP games I downloaded played it to the end and bought just to support devs: "Amnesia The Dark Descent, STALKER series".
  2. I downloaded VBS1 and VBS2 from torrents some time ago. VBS2 animations were same as in ArmA1. It costs so much because it is sold for military and all kinds of companies= for commercial use. Not because it has bunch of units, better editor, and many more features.
  3. Sorry for digging this out but been a couple of years and no new drivers, new dx, no patch even windows reinstall doesn't help. So they won't bother to fix this for OA? 1.60 didn't fix.
  4. View Distance, Anti Aliasing (AToC), Terrain Detail, Objects Detail, HDR, Post Processing. These make biggest difference. View Distance should be from 1000 to 3500 according to my FPS. It's the main thing on Benchmark 2. My monitor resolution is 1920x1080, I leave it same for 3D resolution too. So at this resolution I only need Low Anti Aliasing or I can easily play it without AA. In A2OA cfg I set AToC to 7 and depending on FPS I set AA low or disable because I only need AA for trees and grass at 1920x1080. If your resolution is low try playing with AA and AToC do benchmarks and use Fraps! I would advise setting Terrain Detail to disable because AI can see through grass and if server allows most people play wihout terrain detail, so it's big advantage at the cost of eye candy. Or set it to low to see some grass around you for little FPS difference. If you have lag at towns set Objects Detail to very Low. It makes objects far away look blurry but if you are near them or zoom at them they become just as good as at very high. HDR can save 10FPS depending on situation or it can make no difference at all. It enhances lighting, but not at big difference. I prefer Normal. Postprocess effects at Low for good performance and a little motion blur but not for blurring everything around you and causing huge lag. Texture Detail, Anisotropic filtering, Shadow detail at very high. If server allows to change shadow detail at night don't hide in shadows because people can see you there. Video memory at default. If it's very choppy leave these settings at very high and everything else at very low or disable, because these barely make difference. And I am hoping someone explains me GPU_MaxFramesAhead. 1000 or 0 gives best FPS??? I don't see difference.
  5. Yeah I know that wikia page. So 1000 will give most FPS performance or GPU render=0? I am confused. Don't care about controls lag, need FPS.
  6. I almost optimized my game after reinstall. GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; NOT talking about GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; What should I set "GPU_MaxFramesAhead" to: 0, 3, 8, 100, 300, 500, 1000?? What setting for best FPS? Please answer
  7. I don't understand why ArmA 2 didn't have everything that VBS2 had. Hope A3 will have some of those feautures. (from 5:40) (interaction with objects, trunk, animations etc) (real time editor etc) (shooting out of car etc) And now VBS is A2, A3 and everything else it was before? Why not that editor instead of current one? Seriously, why they don't add all that cool stuff by default in A2 or DLC? WTF? Now I am not sure if A2 is "The ultimate military simulator" as on the box. BTW: Are there any normal players online on VBS2?
  8. Hello. This started few days ago when I played online. Have this problem on A2 only. Doesn't seem to happen on CO. Blocky textures apear only on some types of USMC infantry like: all types of riflemen, AT, designated marksman, scout. All other factions and infantry have lost their tiny facial detail. Most have twitchy eyes and other graphical glitches. Tried flush, changing video memory default to low/very high (always default), restarting A2. EDIT: The guy in the picture is AA though it happens for all USMC missile soldiers.
  9. Does this fix sound stuttering when there are hundreds explosions at the same time (rockets)? Does this fix quiet radio chatter from others when audio control panel format is bigger than 44kHZ (only on OA/CO)? Please respond. I really need to know (so badly). BTW: I am using onboard crappy Realtek High Definition Audio.

  11. Have you guys played RO2? I dont see reason not to implement as many new features as possible for the sake of diversity, freedom, dinamic gameplay. OFF:TOH NPC's look so robotic just standing. Wonder why bis dont make them: walk around while talking sit down idle...

  13. Just played TakeOnH. Medium and Heavy helicopters are frustating with torque problem. But light are very easy smooth and fun. Would you like to have all that wind and dinamics and startup on A3? Would make most people stay away from helicopters=good. Those helicopter animations definately could be in ArmA 3.
