Is there a way to get the black offroad with police lights, backpacks and stuff on the model + the .50 BMG on it?

Would be a nice one, but it would need a lot of custom models, which unfortunately not everyone is able or willing to do. :(

The last time companies went in with that attitude, they either went bankrupt or were mauled by the community. Imagine you are at the restaurant. You are offered a delicious foot with a bunch of nice things. The food tasted ugly in the end, a bunch of promised nice things are not added and you still pay the full price. Don't critize the chef, he owes you nothing.

Jesus, gimme some time, I'm right here. :p Anyway: My first post regarding this matter in this thread, referring to OP. I watch it from 2 sides: From the user-friendly side or the avid sandbox user side. Playing with mods is awesome, and admit it, who of us plays without mods. But they are not user-friendly. They often mess up configs, they have to be downloaded and installed, added to the damn List in steam or using a launcher. For admins you have to check the key, people may not be able to join on your server for what ever mod-related reason. This messes up playing a lot. But so does playing with lack of content. I seriously think that we have not gotten enough content for A3. Related to that matter, I also think the initial price was too low for A3. Not in the current state, but a higher price maybe would've brought more budget and content. I totally agree with OP, all in all A3 just lacks so much fun at the moment. Sure, Altis is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in ArmA, but shouldn't that be the standard for the content in A3? In years of development as full-time developers? I'm disappointed, and ask myself why BI, beside hiring good modders after modders (which is great), didn't get back to the Community and bought content and maybe pitched it up a bit. 3 unique vehicles per faction and type (APC, Transport, MBT, Heli, Jet, Jeep etc.) shouldn't be too much IMO.

I doubt your friend can land the carrier on your aircraft, I'm sorry. BTT: Everything about that mod is perfect. The Spanish army just uses so much German equipment (G36, NH90 and so on), it's awesome and perfect! Quality is insane, too! :) Keep it up!

He puts all his effort from his (i guess) 40 hour week or more into developing 3d models. You can call it 3D-Designer, 3D Artist, what ever. Don't get me wrong, the things done in A3 from the 3D Artists are good (even though that copy & pasting is kinda...meh.), I just find the lack of content disappointing. ArmA 3 has been in development since? How many 40-hour-weeks are that? Do you have the amount of people at BI that are working on 3D-Models, would be interesting to know.

Is that because BI was too lazy to create the segments as individual models and just used a whole fence as one model, as in A2, A1 and OFP?

IMO the perfect setting would be: - Time around 1995/1996 - South American/Latin american location (Jungle, Tropical woods, Swamps) - Factions are a coalition of Armies from e.g. USA, Columbia, Mexico, Venezuela as BLUFOR - Druglords, Drug Trafficking groups, Rebells as OPFOR - Guerillas which are in war with either both sites or OPFOR as Independent Why? Because it's awesome. Imagine all that swamp action, tropical action, especially with our ultra-cool-underwater-stuff we have in A3 now. The 1995-1996 time would reduce the risk of an emberassing fiasco we have right now with all the 3D-Scopes aka my eyes are magicially magnifying everything since Scopes are a bit more rare. It's also a setting which is not seen often, yet has an awesome amount of potential. PS: Watch Act of Valor for a good impression of "my idea".

I don't think the vehicles in A2 are on a quality level that they should be implemented in A3, at least not without major improvements (new technologies, heavy texture updates and so on). I'd prefer to see more A3 exclusive stuff, ideal would be IMO 3 unique vehicles per type (Transport, Recon, Armored, APC and so on) and faction. I'm not seeing so much new breathtaking 3d stuff in the game... wondering what you do as 3D-Developer @ BI?

At first I was like: Mh, yeah nice. Then I was like: Oh yeah thats cool. At night I was like: Oh god that's like MISERY. At the end I was like: OH GOD F*** ME BLOODSUCKERS. Another game on my list to buy :/ Sadly I bet it's going to be non-moddable.

Using the Magic Mouse at work with a 27'' iMac, I like it, but would and could never use it for modding or gaming. Also: Bought a ticket for a ship to Sweden :)

+1, you can't see any textures except a black color if your weapon is not getting illuminated by the sun. Maybe dark gray with dirt + scratches. A tat darker than the original textures! Really like it!

Now thats realistic, this engine has so cool physics.
