Isn't that the Video from 16th of June or something? I saw one on YT, but I guess it changed a lot since then.

When AA3 was released, I was playing AA2 for about a year. I was totally disappointed by AA3 at first, but accepted it as a annoying little friend you have to play with because all your friends do it, too. When they stopped the Servers for AA2 I stopped playing AA2 and played AA3 (still being disappointed). Seeing this is not just disappointing but.... well, I can't find any words for it. AA2 will stay the best AA. As soon as Ground Branch will be released and will become more popular, I guess a lot will switch either way. AA4 is a joke, plays like Call of Duty and looks like straight from a Candy Sweet Box with all these colors. AA2 > AA3 > AA1 > AA4.

No time to play ArmA at the current time... anyone can create a summary video and upload it on YT? :)

Check previous pages, someone already tried a developing a PiP Scope and got 1FPS with it. I'm curious how RO made it years ago frame-friendly and BI is not able to create it in 2013. Is it due to engine limitations? Different technologies used? No budget for it?

Serious injuries (graphic) - gore/violence

It's both reality and both happens, so closing eyes and keeping it out of something that is supposed to be as realistic as possible (ArmA) won't help. -

It's a human body, no matter in what shape. Gore does not affect me, since I already see it as something that just happens. Or do you scream and terrify if you realize that an egg indeed smashes when you throw it to the ground and these are not distant tales experienced kitchen veterans told you? And I can differentiate between real life and game. I just think it's a feature that adds authenticity to the game. -
Discussion is not about 3D Models or not, but realistic 3D Scopes and not "my eyes magnify themselves into the optics".

Or you don't criticize the right religion ;)

I and many others have seen enough gore in our real life, and we wouldn't ask for it if we can't handle it. -

I get monthly threats from people over the internet because I criticize religion, I wouldn't care about it when 12 year old Call of Doody-Players threaten me that they're also going to kill me (after their mom picked them up from school). I don't see the big deal with threats over the internet, as long as you don't know the person. The only thing is, that it is sad that people threaten devs because some changes or whatsoever. It kills the motivation and is annoying, especially since a vast majority or even all of the kids who do that have no clue that the devs put in all their time, passion, sometimes money into it what kind of hard work that is.

Great work, I'd like to add two suggestions: Roads are, as already said, nearly not to possible to see. More grass on the ground. Other than that, awesome map!

If you have spare 300 Dollars per Month for something like gore, I ask you to invest them into something better: my new gaming PC. :p -

Here in Germany, even we have strict laws, sometimes classifications are variable by many factors. Sometimes games with nearly no gore get filtered, censored and made 18+, while games with total gore gets (still 18+ but) not filtered at all. It all depends on the guy who classifies it, the scenes they see, the weather, how his/her wife/husband was last night, how his general mood is and so on. Personally, I like the gore in a shitty-console-port RAGE the most, tbh. Skyrim (with several mods) also has nice gore. It's total off-topic, but just an inspiration. Also, I think it should be in the vanilla game, but as default deactivated and via a option menu it should be customizable and turned on. Why? Because I know several people and soldiers who either suffer from PTSD or are not really able to see gore without getting traumatized. And if you sell a shooter, you wont advertise gore on the CD-Case. -
FHQ M4 for Arma 3 (Prerelease)
Brain replied to Alwarren's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
What do you expect. 9 Posts, registered in August 2013. @kgino: Today we learn how to ask Modders for features. Experienced users can skip this lesson. You can also use this lesson in private messages. First of all, you should congratulate the modder on his release. Modding is taking a lot of free-time, and criticism and positive feedback helps to keep up the motivation. An example for a sentence like this would be: "Hello Username, I really like your Mod! I especially liked feature A,B,C". Now we take it a step further. Ask friendly/suggest friendly a feature, which would you like to see. This could look like this: "Now, something I'd love to see would be "Feature name". You can see it on Mod XY by Author XY. Here is a picture of it. Any chance to see this on your mod?". Adding a reference author/mod helps the author, if he's interested to recreate it and saves time. So, your sentence should look like this: "Hello Username, I really like your Mod! I especially liked feature A,B,C. Now, something I'd love to see would be "Feature name". You can see it on Mod XY by Author XY. Here is a picture of it. Any chance to see this on your mod?" Please try it again, kgino. BTT: Love the new sound, even though some say it's not like the real M4 sounds. :) Keep it up!
