A suspect you are using the data files from the Arma2Free installer instead of a full Arma 2 install? I am not sure that will work, though I'm interested to hear if anyone has tried and succeeded. Edit: Scratch that, I got it to work with the Arma2Free files. Just make sure you change all the files and folders to lower case.
