Ok, it does work if you mark them as administrator and cap the memory to 4 GB with msconfig before the installation. But seriously, how is it possible to create an installer that is that broken? Anyway I would suggest you bring an installer update or bring an option to activate regular Arma keys in Steam so people don't need a computer science degree to install a dlc. -

This is still an issue. Compatibility mode or Adminstrator mode doesn't help. -

So that guys not buying the DLCs can play on the same servers as the guys buying it. I think that is more than fair. Nobody needs to play these maps but they still can without paying a dime. And of course the patch download size stays proportionate with these textures. -

It looks great mostly but there are still some LOD flickering in the bushes and on the ghillie suits and the shadows. Operation Arrowhead has this intro with the sniper and spotter laying beside each other. The bush on the left of them and their suit and shadow under them is flickering all the time. It is quite noticeable because it is that close. I have regular AA disabled and only FXAA enabled. Can anybody confirm this? PPAA=1; PPAA_Level=2; FXAA=13; FXAASharp=2; -

There was so much fighting going on that I either had to walk or gather some tanks. :) It looks like the AI view changes have made the armed Jeeps less powerful than before. They were real killers in the past but now they are often just easy targets. It is more realistic that way but unfamiliar. Btw. I really like the whole smoke activity. -

Yes, after some time the Javelin gunner got it. :D And yes, it is realistic but sometimes they should know, like you mentioned. Besides that I really enjoyed playing your map. :) -

The animations look amazing but there is a bug if that a parachute explodes like a helicopter if it hits the trees. It might only happen if the soldier is dead but it looks quite funny. -

The map is great but I have the issue that if I use enemy vehicles I get attacked by the Americans. Be it with Black Hawks or Javelin. That's why I have shoot down a Blackhawk and can't move with the t90 into the first village because the Americans are shooting me in my tank. -

The map is really great but we have the problem that when we load a savegame that the second player and probably all others are reset after loading to a mode without weapons. The host of the game doesn't have this problem. As a host I also can see that initally after loading the player do have the normal layout but then get resetted nearby the first player without weapons. -
I have played the first mission of your campaign and it is really great. The landing on the building works smooth and the atmosphere is great. Even the attack of the Deltas looks real and Blackhawk does a good job in killing the bad guys. Ok, that is partly BIS' fault. :) Anyway I am using the Sixupdater and it has the option -showScriptErrors by default activated. It seems that the briefing.sqf has missing {. Could you check that out? So I have to go to continue with the assault on Fallujah. EDIT So in the second mission on soldier got stuck between the guardrail. Since he was invincible I could use Satchel to blow them away. Maybe you could use a timeout that if someone takes to long the groups moves on but it is probably a bug in the Fallujah map.

Hi Sickboy, the new performance improvements are really great. But could you please disable the -showScriptErrors option by default or at least explain how default options could be disabled? It is really annoying because at least half of the maps seem to have script errors. So it is a great option for map developers and they should use it much more often but it is annoying during regular gaming sessions. -

Thanks for your reply. I have many old missions aquired over time but when we are playing mp with only a few people there is nearly no map where we don't see any error boxes during play. For example I have downloaded the latest version of http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=15437 and directly after start I get an error box. Or this one http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6303 which is a little bit older. I haven't added "-showScriptErrors " manually but it is possible since I am using the Six Updater. My buddies see the boxes too but they are using Six Updater too so it might be it. [Edit] Ok, I have checked, Sixupdater adds this parameter. Maybe more mission makers should activate it. :D This does explain why there are issues in so many maps. -
Hi, I have this issue since quite some time but I just thought it was partly fault of the map authors. On nearly every downloaded mp map I get error message boxes during playing like this variable is unknown, wrong type or not initialized and so on. At first I thought it was partly because of me using the Beta but now even new maps have this issues. Can anybody confirm this or know something to fix it? I have also issues like the map not really triggering the end or so on and I think they are connected. The error boxes are often re triggered so they basically stay there during the whole map. I am using no mods and Patch 1.60 is installed correctly. I haven't extracted any patches manually, just using the regular beta patches. Maybe it is partly fault of the map authors but it can't be so obvious ones which directly happen after starting the map. Regards Black Russian

Because it would be a bug. There were bugs for some things generating very high network traffic. And it most likely only happens with the Betas or 1.60 RC release candidates because of the immense increase in network packages combined with the amount of Zombies. But like I said I didn't have this problem with the other Apocalypse missions and most of the time it happens around the city so I think something is triggering a bug. -

It works fine until we reach the city with the Supermarket. Could you retry it with the current Sixupdater Beta? Do you pick up the PK? And how fast is your connection? Maybe if you got fiber or similar it is able to deal with the high bandwidth. We have played the other Apocalypse missions without this problem. I suppose I have to check the logs. -

Since we have succeeded in all four Zombie missions we have replayed the first because we never were able to take the photos with us (at least while surviving). :D Anyway we experienced at least two times (one now and one some time ago) that around the supermarket the game gets asynchronous and the desync values get higher and higher while the whole bandwidth of one Megabit is in use. Of course we have to restart the map in this cases. There are not many Zombies around at the time so I think it is a bug in Arma or this map that something generates massive traffic especially since it doesn't get better. I think we also had this issues once or two around the radio tower but I haven't checked it that well there. Did anybody experience the same? I never had this issue with the other Apocalypse maps but maybe it is random and an Arma netcode issue. Just out of curiosity did you reduce the amount of Zombies running around in later map releases or did we just got better? :) EDIT: We had the desync issue again today. It started around the Super market. It either had something to do with the weapon box, the pk or the city in general. We were using as always the current Six Updater Beta and version 1.4. Some had the maximum desync value of 100,000. After everybody disconnected the red symbol went away but as soon as they connected the red symbol reappeared and one had 100,000 again. So we were again unable to finish the mission. Can anybody confirm this? -
I have tried this map in MP and if someone doesn't choose the team leader it doesn't work. You directly start at the airport without an intro (which would be great in MP) but at the same time nobody attacks. Can anybody confirm this?

So many thanks for the new map. We have managed to get much further than before. But there was one bug. After the Reporter has died it was possible to take unlimited bandages from him. After 60 he gave up. The reporter has take two bandages during the game. It might have something to do that he took a bandage from a Zombie while another one did the same. -

Have you tried other games? It seems more likely that your PC or OS have some issues. I would check for viruses and similar. Also check the temperatures of your cpu and gpu. Maybe the cooler is loose in one area and the cpu scales down because of the heat. -

FXAA works great and also fixes http://dev-heaven.net/issues/11436. I would strongly suggest to use FXAA in 1.61 as the default AA in the gui or at least only enable that by default since it doesn't have this ugly looking glowing/sparkling issues and is much faster. Many thanks BIS. -

LOL. Maybe if they are very thin but do you know what happens on a rainy day. It gets dark despite the sun is shining, guess why. And I can assure you that the sun is much brighter than the stars (at least from our location). If you are outside of cities and it is really clouded it can get pitch dark. Btw. thanks for the map Celery. My friends just gave me a hard time because they couldn't see anything even on the horizon. Probably partly because of their screens. -

This darkness doesn't look real if there is a bright heaven with stars. It should be dark because of the clouds. -

So the only remaining showstopper for me is the selection of weapons in mp. It is often painfully slow and sometimes you don't get what you selected and so on. Only the host player doesn't have this problem. This happens with nearly every mp map where you can select your weapons and there are already bug reports for that. Probably not for 1.60 but this is the bug which we cross the most and which creates the most complaints.
