  1. Ok, it does work if you mark them as administrator and cap the memory to 4 GB with msconfig before the installation. But seriously, how is it possible to create an installer that is that broken? Anyway I would suggest you bring an installer update or bring an option to activate regular Arma keys in Steam so people don't need a computer science degree to install a dlc.
  2. This is still an issue. Compatibility mode or Adminstrator mode doesn't help.
  3. Arma 2 CO 1.61 RC1 crashes while joining Dayz servers. Crash dump attached at https://dev-heaven.net/issues/37015
  4. So that guys not buying the DLCs can play on the same servers as the guys buying it. I think that is more than fair. Nobody needs to play these maps but they still can without paying a dime. And of course the patch download size stays proportionate with these textures.
  5. It looks great mostly but there are still some LOD flickering in the bushes and on the ghillie suits and the shadows. Operation Arrowhead has this intro with the sniper and spotter laying beside each other. The bush on the left of them and their suit and shadow under them is flickering all the time. It is quite noticeable because it is that close. I have regular AA disabled and only FXAA enabled. Can anybody confirm this? PPAA=1; PPAA_Level=2; FXAA=13; FXAASharp=2;
  6. There was so much fighting going on that I either had to walk or gather some tanks. :) It looks like the AI view changes have made the armed Jeeps less powerful than before. They were real killers in the past but now they are often just easy targets. It is more realistic that way but unfamiliar. Btw. I really like the whole smoke activity.
  7. Yes, after some time the Javelin gunner got it. :D And yes, it is realistic but sometimes they should know, like you mentioned. Besides that I really enjoyed playing your map. :)

    WarFX : Blastcore

    The animations look amazing but there is a bug if that a parachute explodes like a helicopter if it hits the trees. It might only happen if the soldier is dead but it looks quite funny.
  9. The map is great but I have the issue that if I use enemy vehicles I get attacked by the Americans. Be it with Black Hawks or Javelin. That's why I have shoot down a Blackhawk and can't move with the t90 into the first village because the Americans are shooting me in my tank.

    Escape Chernarus (Mission Release)

    The map is really great but we have the problem that when we load a savegame that the second player and probably all others are reset after loading to a mode without weapons. The host of the game doesn't have this problem. As a host I also can see that initally after loading the player do have the normal layout but then get resetted nearby the first player without weapons.

    [Camp] Six days in Fallujah

    I have played the first mission of your campaign and it is really great. The landing on the building works smooth and the atmosphere is great. Even the attack of the Deltas looks real and Blackhawk does a good job in killing the bad guys. Ok, that is partly BIS' fault. :) Anyway I am using the Sixupdater and it has the option -showScriptErrors by default activated. It seems that the briefing.sqf has missing {. Could you check that out? So I have to go to continue with the assault on Fallujah. EDIT So in the second mission on soldier got stuck between the guardrail. Since he was invincible I could use Satchel to blow them away. Maybe you could use a timeout that if someone takes to long the groups moves on but it is probably a bug in the Fallujah map.
  12. Hi Sickboy, the new performance improvements are really great. But could you please disable the -showScriptErrors option by default or at least explain how default options could be disabled? It is really annoying because at least half of the maps seem to have script errors. So it is a great option for map developers and they should use it much more often but it is annoying during regular gaming sessions.

    Error messages with nearly every map

    Thanks for your reply. I have many old missions aquired over time but when we are playing mp with only a few people there is nearly no map where we don't see any error boxes during play. For example I have downloaded the latest version of http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=15437 and directly after start I get an error box. Or this one http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6303 which is a little bit older. I haven't added "-showScriptErrors " manually but it is possible since I am using the Six Updater. My buddies see the boxes too but they are using Six Updater too so it might be it. [Edit] Ok, I have checked, Sixupdater adds this parameter. Maybe more mission makers should activate it. :D This does explain why there are issues in so many maps.
  14. Hi, I have this issue since quite some time but I just thought it was partly fault of the map authors. On nearly every downloaded mp map I get error message boxes during playing like this variable is unknown, wrong type or not initialized and so on. At first I thought it was partly because of me using the Beta but now even new maps have this issues. Can anybody confirm this or know something to fix it? I have also issues like the map not really triggering the end or so on and I think they are connected. The error boxes are often re triggered so they basically stay there during the whole map. I am using no mods and Patch 1.60 is installed correctly. I haven't extracted any patches manually, just using the regular beta patches. Maybe it is partly fault of the map authors but it can't be so obvious ones which directly happen after starting the map. Regards Black Russian

    COOP 10 Chernarus Apocalypse, part one

    Because it would be a bug. There were bugs for some things generating very high network traffic. And it most likely only happens with the Betas or 1.60 RC release candidates because of the immense increase in network packages combined with the amount of Zombies. But like I said I didn't have this problem with the other Apocalypse missions and most of the time it happens around the city so I think something is triggering a bug.
