My apologies if this has been answered before, but I've been hunting around for ages, and even registered so I could use the search function. I've been doing some fiddling with Arma II warfare missions. Thanks to DB's Sanbox and some reverse-engineering, I've been able to figure out most of it, but I've been totally stumped by two things: firstly, how do you set the faction for each side? I always get USMC as BLUFOR and Russia as OPFOR. How do you get CDF or insurgents? I've tried placing units (including mobile HQs) belonging to those factions and synchronising them with the warfare module, but the warfare module spawns another HQ of the "correct" faction, and the placed units stand around like lemons because they don't have any commander. I presume there is some incantation one must include in the init common script, but I haven't been able to figure it out. The "War Welcome" scenario seems to use:
BIS_WF_Common SetVariable ["eastFactions",[Localize "STR_FN_INS"]];
but this doesn't seem to make any difference for me.
The second thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to control the units that can be built. Is it possible to change the list of available units, for instance prevent LAV-25s being built, or to add units that have been added by mods?
