    Yeah, I'd test it out but my work PC is telling me to piss off. Thanks for the support. Yeah, Snottus. Was running ALiVE + ASR + A2 US Heli port last night and my AAF guys were derping around in a Huey. It was actually really cool how aggressive they were being and how skilled the pilot was. Both door gunners opening up with the 240s as the pilot did some impressive passes. Vietnam-esque.

    ASR is part of a mod collection my group has compiled. I take it I need to make a userconfig folder in the main directory since there isn't one? Basically treat it the same as I treat my desktop PC at home?

    Where do I plop the user config file on my server? ...../cfg/Users/Gameserver/ or ...../cfg/Users/server/ Sorry, never used a mod on the server that required a user config. Actually now I've got 3 (Raven, Tao Map and ASR).;) Yes, I am very new to all of this. Thanks in advance!
  5. If I manually place helipads in the editor, does ALiVE see these and spawn helos accordingly. Moreover, are the helis spawned on the helipads or in the hangars used by OPCOM or are they eye candy. The next obvious question would be, if these helos are not used by OPCOM, then where do the helicopters that I occasionally see flying around come from?

    Are there modules that I must place in the editor for this? I've got the addon folder where it should be and once I added the user config .hpp the error went away, just wondering due to the language of the OP if there are modules that need to be put down. I couldn't find any, so I must ask.
  9. Is ALiVE utilizing fixed wing for the AI yet? I see that its spawning helos at helipads and occasionally parking planes in hangars. I've seen them use helos before but are they able to make use of planes now too?

    Virtual Ammobox System (VAS)

    Hello Tonic, Love the script, been using it with my groups since Alpha. Question though. We've got a big addon collection with a few weapons kits in it. We don't want to remove the weapons addons from the @mod collection as we use them elsewhere. However, the scenario I'm building is meant to be a vanilla-ish scenario. Is there a place where I can comment out VAS from searching for the addon weapons and just use vanilla?
  11. Can someone tell me how to turn on/off OPCOM using a simple radio trigger. I need to turn on/off two OPCOMs. Using two radio commands isn't an issue, so whatever works on a one for one is good enough, although tuning both on/off with a single trigger would be optimal.
  12. I had planned on just using a radio trigger since its gonna be a private server. Thank you for the bit about OPCOM finishing its objectives. Pretty important to know. Does that mean though that OPCOM will attack and continue attacking even if defeated at an objective. So OPCOM assigns a mil base as the objective and sends 2 tanks and some infantry and these guys are beaten, I turn off OPCOM, if the mil base is still assigned will it continue to send waves at it or is it like a "whatever is currently attacking" and that's it?
  13. Since we don't have the full persistence yet. Am I right in assuming that with the trigger function, I can just start OPCOM, my group can play their session, I can disable OPCOM and we can just leave the server running with all forces in a "pause" and then we can come back for the next session and just unpause???

  16. My thoughts exactly. The civvies are coming along nicely. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ALiVE + Sangin and all the goodies Smokedog is working on for it is going to be amazing. Can't wait to see this in action with civilian structures that have you know, furniture and towns that aren't populated by frat boys. Here's the real question: How does ALiVE NOT win "Make ArmA not war? You guys submitting it?
  17. I want this almost as much as I want persistence to be ready. I don't even care that much if the res/rep convoy/helos don't run perfectly. I just want to have logistics hubs and some convoys as potential targets. I am so very eager for this.

  21. What is the status of convoys/replacement vehicles being profiled/visualized and being used by the OPCOM for Logistics Support? The implementation of logistics lines and the targets they offer is of great interest and importance to me. Thanks!
  22. Set this up today in an ALIVE mission I'm running. Works well enough, better than the BI vanilla stuff. Question though. I've got two buzzards sitting on the deck with this script, they both work fine with the script. Their respawns however do not. Anyone know how to get it to work with the respawned aircraft?
  23. Not home so I can't get on the skype channel. Planning on kicking off our first ALiVE campaign on Saturday. Problem. I'd really like to see ALL of the ally units, and the MI module doesn't seem to work the way I had hoped. It doesn't give as complete a picture as the debug which is what I thought it would give. Pretty sure I've got it set to "show all friendly units" and it isn't doing it.
  24. ARJay, AAF does indeed spawn fixed-wing at least in the hangars at the central airfield. I don't know if they're using them for support though.
  25. Thank you. Since those OPCOMs are no longer synced to both MP modules though, will they be able to attack the objectives in eachother's zones? I thought you had to sync ALL MP's to each OPCOMs so they knew about each spawn zone. Skype chat isn't launching for some reason.
