Oooh! That's a nifty surprise ;) DL'ing it now. EDIT: Just gave it a quick spin. Particularly like the standard addon's desert skin. Only two minor observations: - The chopper's dampers seem to constantly bounce if you land it on LHD (which causes a hilarious constant door opening\closing seizure xD). - It seems to be extremely manouverable (it ain't exactly a bad thing), but it makes it very edgy when you want to precisely maneuver it. Other than those small niggles, stellar job -

It definately looks like the one on the FDF mod, so it's probably a reskin of that (or vice-versa, you never know), and it's probably a F2F private addon, since that one in the video is the 1st time i saw it, and f-18s are fairly rare in A2. PS: Great choice on the video's music ;) -
Just tried it. One word: Amazing ;) Not so amazing was having to blow my way in the NE airport to get access to the control tower, since the "open door" action for the 2nd door didn't somehow appear on the little tunnel thing, probably was being blocked by the fact that i was in it. :rolleyes: Other than that little niggle, loved it.

Was the mission pre-made in OA? (even if it was a vanilla a2 map), it could've brought over some tidbits that could've crashed it or it was done in a previous patch version. And to a further extent, was the model or any of the configing done with OA features that wouldn't show up immediately? Hope this can help, even if it's just for troubleshooting. -

If at all possible i'd like to see some kind of straight up ocean map, no land, just water (preferably a big one at that, since it's pretty basic). I know there's one available (SAP_Water), but for whatever reason i can't seem to use it. It instantly crashes my game whenever i try to load it :confused: -
Maybe a proximity detection script for explosive type objects, like mines?

More colored bricks would be fun (specially in the actual colours they come in), although i find the notion of calling lego bricks "minecraft" a bit insulting to be honest (I've always liked playing with legos, hence my little complaint ;)) -

Two suggestions if i may: - Any chance of the old texture coming back and being used on future updates? (IMHO opinion the afformentioned texture looked far better than the new, bluish-gray one). -And secondly, the canopy's glass looks very "boxy" (probably not the right term), but you can see the edges of every polygon used for making it. Pretty sure i read in another thread a while back its because of the way you set up the transparency, whether it's a flat surface or a curved one. Nonetheless, the most recent version has a pretty good looking Jolly Roger, so kudos on that one :D -

That was a nice little surprise coming here today : D Looks really great, no missing errors. All i found out was that, like mencioned before, the landing gear wasn't animated, which made it awkward landing on the LHD, as it bounces and stays "landed" a few centimeters off the deck. Other than that, stellar job! -

It's been a while. Glad to hear this is back :D Anyway, just tried it out. No real errors, except 2 minor ones. As regards to the aircraft, only error i get is that somehow the plane's missing a weapon.cfg for a PVS-14 (i'm guessing a config typo), and the marine aviator included in the f-18 zip is missing a texture ("mar_marines/gear/env_land_co", i believe). -

Kudos on the release! Just tried it out. Once again thanks for leaving the Stormshadow version ;) All i noticed was that the missiles and bombs were mounted way below the pylons, sort of hovering in mid air, just below the pylons (on all variants except the default one). Can anyone else confirm this? (I'm guessing its related to the weapons, not the model)

Since there's no complete thread for it right now (which it would be where one one comment since its been released), i thought i'd post here. Have to say, loved it as soon as i tried it out, specially since you can manually fold the wings for manouvering it on Jdogs Nimitz. Really easy to carrier-land, and just looks overral great. Two observations: As you pointed out with the unfinished cockpit, the only bit i thought needed a look would be that "circular metal thing with the mirrors" (poor description, i know) right in front of you in 1st person view. As for the loadout, only thing i'd have to say about it would be that all it needs is MMA support :P EDIT: Just noticed this as well, may as well mention it. I believe the in-flight refuelling probe isn't visible from inside. -

Is there any "vehiclemagazine" available that looks like a heli-mounted BGM-71 TOW? A bit like GLT's airweapons pack with the FFAR pod dummy magazine, except it looks like a TOW quad-stack, since adding BIS TOW magazines has no actual physical presence. Just DL'ed it. No errors to report : ) One small observation. When the rotating main rotor changes to the texture proxy (spinning rotor blades when normally flying around), the blades look rather like they're shredded. I'm guessing it was intentional. Other than that, stellar job :D -

Just took them for a spin. No real texture issues, just the springs have a very noticeable white outline, not a real biggy ;) Just the M1161 bog-standard version has this error i'm guessing: ride in back and the first seat gives you the front right seat view, but your body is in the rear left seat. Just wanted to let you know. EDIT: Because it looked wierd i tried it again, turns out its really wierd, i tried putting several AI soldiers in order and checking the seats to see if they were ok, well they need looking into : / ANOTHER EDIT: It seems its only in the M1161 ITV variant, all others don't seem to have that wierd seating issue. -

IMHO, a version of the map with just the airfields and no towns (and by the same logic, since it's a desert, no forests) would a good idea, but in the end, it's your call ;)
