Does anyone else have sound glitches whilst playing? It doesn't happen all the time and only seems to happen when i am travelling across open land etc, not among base's for some strange reason? Also, why is the sound in general so poor? It seems to come out of the right side more than the left and the sound levels are really poor? Poor options to adjust voice from sfx etc No 5.1!!!! Come on devs, this should be sorted already! Apart from that i love the game!! Thanks! -

In full flow its not as noticeable but still annoying really :) At the end when the walrus engine switches off, the click you hear happens every time! Also when switching from map to vehicle and back. Thanks -

I have been using headphones, 5.1 Roccat Kave. I've tried adjust in game level and main levels and no luck. Changed my settings in the sound card from 24bit, 48Khz dowm to 16, 44. I have never had any issues with my sound in other games or the headphones for that matter. I tried re-install the audio drivers also and even fresh install of the game, still no luck. @Dram... i have recorded some audio for you, just uploading to youtube now @Reignhardt... what sort of issues were you experiencing? -

Hi, thanks for replying. I'm just getting constant small audible clicks such as when the engines of the walrus switch off and other things. It's as if all the sound files have not been cleaned up at the ends and there is an audible spike/pop/click etc that is played when a sound finishes. During more intense sequences they can't be heard as much due to the other more louder noises but i can still hear them and there are many also! I just come back to Arma after a few months break, done a fresh re-install with the latest updates and noticed that it says, BAF has some new missions! Except i can't see any new missions? Can anyone help me out, were they not introduced in the end or.....?? Thank

Well i ain't experienced any problems with it and only complete ease of use for what i have been using for, as have the many more users! Nothing that is user made such as that is ever going to be 'finished' i reckon! It works very well though!

At first glance this seems much better than the mod im using, even if i can't use it MP (though it says it has signed keys, which my other doesn't)! Thanks dude, i'll check it out over the weekend! :)

Guys, all you need is IObit Advanced System Care plus their own free Smart Defrag 2. Smart Defrag will constantly work in the background when cpu usage is low keeping the files always defragged, plus allows you to perform boot time defrag whilst start up to defrag files that are only movable then. Btw, this software is so fast at what it does you won't noticed an increased boot time either! Advanced System Care, well you just should check it out, it unbelievable everything it does. do you use the sixupdater? If not then you should be, it makes the whole process of installing and updating mods a simple 1 click process...AND you can view all servers before you even open Arma! For example, first you open the sixupdater then...you can select which mods you want and install from there easily with no hassle (all mods can be updated as soon as needed with one click and sixupdater tells you which ones everytime you start it). Secondly...using six you can search for MP servers as you would in Arma, it will tell you how many players are online etc and then you can simply add the server to a new preset (in Sixupdater) which includes the mods required to join. Load arma from that new preset and your ready to go! It is simple once you know it! 20mins learning SixUpdater will save you all the time, EVERYTIME you want to play! http://www.six-updater.net/p/about.html Enjoy :)

yea the netcode.pbo and all other associating pbos that require netcode are a massive problem when using SLX in terms of performance!!! They just don't work! You will need to remove them all, thankfully the few mods that are removed won't be missed, except the vehicle damage.pbo My opinion anyway :) -
Have just started using this and have to say its really awesome!! Massive boost to my playing performance and immersion! One thing though... i have downloaded the 'mute own player' mod which allows you to select a 'silent' voice in the profile editor, so that your mic doesn't pick up what you have just said as your man repeats it, which is great..... But is useless in MP as it is a mod that know one allows or cant be signed for on their servers. Does anyone have a way around this or know of another technique to mute your player? Thanks

Ok so i will give my impression from someone who has only being playing Arma MP on public servers for about 2 weeks, but has spent untold amounts of time reading through threads and read me files because i know this game can be amazing, once i work it all out! First of all, i am that sort of person who likes to work things out, which after only reading the first 6 pages of this thread, is not like what a lot of newbies to Arma appear to be, or what some 'vets' perceive most of them to be. I will look for, find and join my ideal clan when i feel ready, but for now i have just been playing public, learning the gui, different games etc as i don't want to feel like an infant when i do join a clan! There are i guess a lot of newbies not like that who would prefer it all so easily and readily explained and wished that BI had put more effort in doing so! My guess is, they/BI will! Of course they will! But if you look at what they have created, been working on and achieved with this game and engine so far you can forgive and understand why they haven't yet, because of the mountain of obstacles they have over come in making the game playable in how they envisioned from the start! I think... (and i'm not a veteran who knows the game/engine/company from the start) they are coming very close to the stability and performance they want that would make the game 'soo' much more accessible/playable to many more gamers in terms of performance that would create an influx in public players able to enjoy the full Arma experience to begin with! If the majority of new players can't see this then they can't see that! So until 'then' it will always be niche, 'then' i reckon being Arma 3 (hopefully). This is the 3rd time i have installed and tried Arma in a couple of years, but my pc was never up to scratch were i felt i was getting the real Arma experience...now it is! One point i will say and that already has been said, is if you want it... you have to go and make it happen yourself! If you want real tactical gameplay on a small/compact, map/village, infantry combat in woods etc, you will have to find it for yourself, either in like minded players or simply make your own maps, villages, playing fields to accommodate your own requirements. Organisation requires organisation! Tactics requires Tactics!!! To sum up; i could list all the little modifications i would love to 'have' or 'see' BI create for this game (as many others already have), but there is no point! The minds that have created this game already knew that before we even realised it, only until they think the game/engine is ready for it, it will not be introduced! Here's hoping Arma 3 is it ;) If people can't understand or see further than the end of their nose, so be it! I will still be enjoying the experience in the way they had hoped, even if they are not! -

Well they said you will battle at land, sea and air so i hope so. They seem to like the whole open world, massive scale environment too so i reckon it will be so :) -
i was unable to get there also, but then found the 2nd objective documents. At this point, the mission finished saying i had failed the primary objective, and then setting me on to the next mission! Is this correct?? Also, i switched weapons during one mission and then on the next i started again with the default! Is this a bug??

Yes i agree regarding the mods! Its just there are small mods within the SLX that really improve the small things. So i remove any AI enhancing pbos for user campaigns. I guess i won't be the only one to do so either :)

Ok this might be useful to anyone using SLX with this campaign! Yes Sumrak your bloodsuckers are not too hard at all, i have found a conflict with a mod in SLX which made them unbeatable :) If anyone is using SLX try removing; mod_weapons_c.pbo after testing i have found this to be the culprit ;) Awesome campaign, i am truly on edge like never before whilst playing this :D

ok maybe it's because im new and not very good at this game but i just can't kill a bloody bloodsucker :( I've emptied 2 mags into one and they just won't go down? I am of course trying to hit them in the head...they are really tough!!
