  1. I guess it's time to invade France then :D

Beware, Operation Frenchpoint is defending its motherland ! :bounce3:

VBS = based on Operation Flashpoint

    VBS 2 = based on ArmA 1

VBS 3 = based on ArmA 2 (begin to be implemented in the armies...)

Always with more functionalities than the ones available in the civilian version (ArmA).

  2. Again thank you everyone.

    @Wiki

We do not take part in the Make Arma Not War contest, because as we wrote on our roadmap, Money is not the philosophy of OFrP.

For us, addonmaking consists in passion to make a project, and to share it for free.

If we need money, in this case we would sale it to professional companies, but not to gamers, because we are gamers...

    Regards,

  3. Hi all,

First of all, thank you for your support, we really appreciate that.

We make maybe a little mistake. OFrP on Arma 3 won't be a total port of models from ArmA 2.

We are making new models with more details for the pleasure of eyes.

    @TheEvantCat

Hey, glad to see people wanting to work with us. We understood, that your project goes first, indeed, we wish you a good luck in your project.

If you need help or anything else, you know where to find people ready to help. ;)

Since a small independent studio which is dear to us, launched the fashion of Roadmap, we could not have missed this, and that is how we present our Roadmap !

Let's start by an announcement that will draw the small tear to the former, because it is with great pleasure that we announce the renewal of OFrP, its communication policy and its adventure !

Yes, "it was time" we hear you say, but know that it is not always easy to manage Metro rat race and a team of old temperamental branches on a project as daunting !

OFrP the former is no more; Vive the new OFrP !

Some of you may recall the splendor OFrP on Operation Flashpoint, then its slow death on ArmA 1 and ArmA 2 to only come to a few solitary souls, two to be precise on the end of ArmA 2.

Yes, but not as the youngsters say, a French is tough and does not give up so easily !

We have launched a policy via a new dynamic, welcoming new members, but discrete known to boost ArmA 3. Among these members, there are legends like Ikar or GMC from the Clan ADO, fino of the burst as our graphic artist Skaarian and his brother Shiva, technicians as inveterate Icem4n or Darklabor but few zozos as TigerForce. Some recruits are still in training...

Well, you will tell me to move on to the matter ! Ok, but this can not be done without presenting you our new symbol, which is both an innovation comparing to the tricolor flag and FAMAS, from OFrP the former, but also a nod to Hexagon with its small symbols, or to OFrP during the time of OFP with the soldier. We owe this to our artwork artistic genius that is Skaarian.

    mini_897097roadmapofrp2014.png

Credits soldiers and weapons from ©Lodu for OFrP on ArmA 2.

    Okay so this roadmap...

First, you will gradually see a change in our visual to better project ourselves in the modern world of ArmA 3. Logos / signatures / Visual and website will change for pleasure of eyes.

In terms of communication, we will try to break with this side of Grande Muette for a new style on community sites like CFr-ArmA, BI Forum, Armaholic, Steam and of course our site OFrP.

So where to find us ?

The main public life OFrP will be located on the site of the CFr-ArmA where you can follow our WIP and our news, but also on Steam.

The OFrP website will only serve us for the work in private, and the cover page for the news.

We will try by all our means of Frenchies to provide translations of news and WIP in English.

It's only speech, do you think, well that's just the beginning...

Our team absolutely need fresh meat to only to be able to create faster but also to develop ourselves, which is why, if you have any hidden talents of developer, you're motivated, passionate, you enjoy volunteering as a team and are a little chauvinistic, do not hesitate to contact us to join us. Despite appearances, we do not bite.

We are particularly looking for people in the field of graphic design, 3D (Blender, 3Dsmax...), the config/scripting ©, or even the sound universe.

If you have some advantages over the possession of information on the vehicles of our beloved army (diagrams, drawings, pictures, technical info, sounds) that you can share legally, do not hesitate to contact us at the following address :

    tigerforce[at]hotmail.fr

Believe us, there is no sub-addonmaker or even gods of modding, even if you do not excel or have little time do not hesitate, if you are motivated, you will progress with us.

Let us talk about the mod.

Following the feedback and comments we received, we decided that the mod OFrP will be published in the form of mini-packs per vehicle or vehicle family, and limiting not only the size but also the dependencies. Clearly, if you want to play with part of the mod, it will not be necessary to download 2 GB.

We will proceed of course, before any public release, with beta testing, and again experience has allowed us to correct some errors. we will provide to pre-selected testers, addons, addon by addon for testing.

I think it's time to talk about the content, but no date, course.

The addons that you will discover timely will be released through mini-packs based on our progress, it is possible that by the end of the year some vehicles bloom on your battlefields.

You will discover the addons as mini-games and puzzles, so stay tuned !

You may have heard that OFrP wouldn't be free for ArmA 3 via the Steam Workshop, what's about ?

Do not worry even if we could scare you, this was only intended to help you understand the critical condition of addonmakers, following an upsurge in data theft in the community. So just remember one thing, respect the addonmaker's work as you want your work being respected. If you want a model, ask and do not thieve it. We are very accommodating from the moment you respect our work.

OFrP will be free for all, because it is the philosophy at the origin of OFrP in OFP, and that we share it.

No, it is not finished because we keep the best for the end, but this time for ArmA 2.

Someone know, we will make a final update of OFrP for ArmA 2. No new units on the horizon but a significant configuration optimization and correction of persistent bogs.

The old timers know, OFrP was released on OFrP in a DVD, and although we repeat this feat on ArmA 2 (you do not have to believe us) and present as an international sneak preview its cover.

    mini_165980jaquetteofrparma2.png

We will thus conclude with the salutation become cult :

    Wait & See !

We thank the CFr for its support, as well as any site that will relay this message.

  5. I think it was at the beginning of ArmA 3, BIS said that it will be possible to be paid for the contents you create for ArmA 3 with BIS tools. They said, it will work on Steam Workshop.

Basically, an addon-maker could (not tried yet) put his addons on Steam Workshop, and select the price of the addons. On this price, one part will go to BIS, another one to Valve and the main part to the addon-maker.

OFrP plans to do that due to an increase of thefts of addons recently with ArmA 3, in order to pay copyrights and prosecution if needed. If people can't respect teams which provide free contents, we will be force to take sanctions !

  6. On Zargarbad I am having a problem with the WF menu in that after my first respawn, the menu text disappears. The box for thw wfmenu comes up but no text appears in it. You can still select things from the menu like buying gear for example. I will fire it up and take a screenshot.

Did you try the mission on LAN or Internet ?

Could you also take a look into your RPT and give me a report ?

PS, any chance you could either PM me or let me know how to implement a new faction as you did with the OFrP as I want to make a RACS version of this.

Hmm... Yes you have a chance :p

First of all, you need to contact Benny in order to have his agreement to port the Warfare.

I can help you concerning the version 2.04 Warfare BTE, because version 1.02 are too much work !

Version 2.04 of Warfare BTE are based on 2.073 Warfare BE with some of the correction from the 2.074 Warfare BE. So maybe, it's more relevant to ask Benny to give you the 2.074 Warfare BE even they are not released yet.

If Benny give you the agreement, but didn't give you the 2.074 Warfare BE, you can use my Warfare to work on.

    Let me know... :D

    Scenario:

Based on Warfares Benny Edition, you will, alone or in teams, capture all designated targets to win. Secondary missions are also available. Unlike conventional Warfares, the U.S. Army has been replaced by the French Army, as well as by French warfares buildings. The Warfare is limited to 32 players, 16 by team (West / East), but may as well be played in SinglePlayer with AI.

    Languages Available:

    - English

    - French

    - German

    - Italian

    - Russian

Maps available in these rar files:

Chernarus, Utes, Takistan, Zargabad, Isla Duala, Lingor, Fallujah, Queshkibrul, Tropica, Everon, Panthera, Saharani, Saharani lite and Yapal.

    Installation:

    Put the PBO file in:

    C/Programmes/Bohemia Interactive/ArmA 2/MPMissions.

The Warfares 2.0 or higher work locally and on dedicated server. The Warfares 1.0 and less than 2.0, only work on dedicated server.

To be able to play on LAN, you need to go to multiplayer and host a new mission menu, then select the map, the Warfare, and options.

Then choose whether you want to play alone or with others. There may be 16 players max per team.

    Addons required:

ArmA 2 Combined Operation (ArmA 2 Standalone + Arrowhead)

    OFrP 3.2

    Community Base Addons

    Optional Addons according to Map:

    Isla Duala lite

    Lingor

    Fallujah

    [ADO] Queshkibrul

    [ADO] Tropica

    [ADO] Yapal

    Everon par SgtAce

    Panthera

CAA 1 for Saharani and Saharani lite

What are the differences between a Warfare v1.02 and v2.04?

The unit before the decimal refers to the structure of the Warfare.

The 1.02 versions have old structures adopted in Warfare BE 2.071.

Versions 2.04 have very recent structures adopted only in Warfare BE 2.073 and 2.074, and are therefore more ergonomic for servers.

    Versions 2.04 are playable locally.

    Thanks:

    - Benny for his permission to adapt Warfare and his support.

And for the record, the biggest creator of Warfare on ArmA 2 is French.

You will find his Warfares here.

    - All Island-makers.

    - All players who gave me and provide feedbacks and specially Loupvert.

    Recommendations:

It is recommended to use Warfares on a dedicated server and avoid the LAN because some features may not function properly.

This is also the case for the original Warfares of Benny.

Best as an alternative to a LAN is to set Internet as host and lock with a password.

    Play in Singleplayer:

Warning, the Warfares were not designed to operate via the SinglePlayer menu.

To play alone, you must put the missions in MPMissions folder.

Then you need to start the game, click Multiplayer, then New

Once on the menu Creating a game, you can change the Name, you must set the max number of players on one, and put a password. Finally, select Internet preferably, but you can also choose LAN. It is advisable to click on Internet. Click on OK.

Then you get a menu, in which you define the level of difficulty, the island (the map) and Mission (one of Warfares). Finally, click OK.

Now you choose your man, and can start the mission.

  8. Hi tslava2,

I have just finished to play your campaign and I have to say congratulations for your good work, especially about intro.

Of course, it's a small campaign, but it's very effective. I liked to play it.

Whatever, I have to report some kind of bugs.

First of all, you need to take a look for the French translation, which are sometimes a bit "crazy".

By the way, thank you to add a French language, it's very nice !

If you want any help for French translation (to correct and add it for some missions), feel free to ask me. I just need the English translation and then I will translate it in French.

Second, in the mission in which we have to save civilians in Msta, the info in the waypoints are still in Czech.

Third and last, I can't play the last mission "Yankees are coming", because some files (cacharacters_acr) are missing.

When I played your campaign, I just have ArmA 2 CO, up to date, without any addons. Furthermore, I do not have any BIS DLC.

Maybe it comes from the fact, I have not ACR DLC, but you should specify it on your post...

Again it's a very good campaign that I have enjoyed to play !

    Description :

In May 1978, an uprising took place in Katanga against dictator Mobutu. On 11 May, a 3,000 to 4,000 man strong Katangan rebel group arrived, accompanied by the 2nd Cuban Division; departing from Angola, it had crossed neutral Zambia. Upon arriving, they took about 3,000 Europeans as hostages and carried out various executions, particularly after the intervention of Zairian paratroopers on 18. A Panhard AML 60 group of the Zairian Army rallied the rebels.

Between 90 to 280 Europeans were killed. Dictator Mobutu requested foreign assistance from Belgium, France and the USA.

May 17, Colonel Philippe Erulin, commander of the 2nd REP (Foreign Parachute Regiment) was ordered to prepare. The second REP joined Solenzara Air Base on May 18. The mission entrusted by the President of the Republic is to jump on Kolwezi to rescue hundreds of hostages of all nationalities. May 19, after four hours flight from Kinshasa, the legionnaires are dropped on Kolwezi...

    - Based on true story

    - Intro available for SP only

    Installation :

Put the PBO file in :

    Lingor Units 1.3

    Lingor Island 1.5

    Community Base Addons

    Operation Frenchpoint 3.2

ArmA 2 Combined Operation is necessary.

    Notes :

This mission, based on true story, has the ability to be playable in Solo or in COOP over 40 players, without affecting the progress of the mission. However, here is some useful information.

In Solo : You play as Colonel Philippe Erulin, Force Commander of the 2nd REP. Only the Colonel is playable, and you lead the different companies towards the assigned objectives thank to the High-Command module, by the keys "Ctrl+Space". The units won't go by themselves to the objectives, you have to give them orders. Companies leaders are invincible and follow your orders.

In Multiplayer : All the legionnaires are playable, but the Colonel Philippe Erulin, and the team leaders must be humans. If one of the leader is AI, it will be invincible. Team leaders must follow orders coming from the Colonel Erulin, under penalty of mission failure. If one of the humans officers is killed, the mission will be a failure.

  10. @Kommiekat

If I have a good memory of Qwerty, you need to push on Q to turn on the engine, and then keep pushing on Q to gain speed.

An-2 can take off in the game at a speed of 75.

X is to go left, C to go right, W to lose altitude and S to take altitude, but you can also use the mouse. Just wait to have a good speed before taking altitude.

You just need to practise a bit. ;)

  11. Thank you guys for your feedbacks, which are much appreciated ! :)

I will try to correct this problem. One solution to avoid any casualty in your team during the flight, is to close the doors of the AS-330 Puma.

To be honest, I tested the campaign in Normal difficulty level, because I'm not very good to try Veteran... ^^

I have to practise more ArmA game, but that means also to spend less time in addon-making... The choice is easy to do ;)

Did you find any other major problem in the other missions of the campaign ?
