I don't think the E-450 APU in my DM1 will handle the 20k view distance, so probably yeah..

I would recommend throwing in an SSD, but the CPU is fine, it will have no problems, the GPU will be the bottleneck, it is on par with an Nvidia 640M which is still a decent card but dont expect everything on High/Ultra. It will run smoothly with some tweaked settings on med-high I'd imagine. Here's a link to the GPU in the gaming list. You can compare it to other cards. How well do you reckon that little machine will cope with the A3 engine? Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone could offer some advice in terms of getting a rig for arma2. I am currently in Sydney but I am only in Oz for about another 7months or so. Anyway I really want to get back to playing arma and my current dm1 will not even get close to running this thing. I am quite capable of picking the components etc but I need some help from Australian players who could refer me to the best sites to get a laptop for this. Originally from the UK so I was used to having a lot of sites available. In Australia I am not sure what sites are the best to buy from for Customer Support/Value Thanks for anyone who can help point out where to buy from and any recommendations on machines would be fine too.

I voted no I do enjoy having games on steam, however I don't want to be forced into having to use it. As many others have mentioned there are issues with the steam version, and what were to happen if the steam engine crashed making the game unplayable. Unlikely I know but it could happen. I think they should just give people the option like they're doing at the minute. Seems to work fine to me.

Hi everyone, I am a fresh member of the community here, I thought I'd join up as I am an active player online. Like many others have posted I've been playing since flashpoint and thoroughly enjoy the ArmA series. I am looking to get involved with a group of players online as I am playing by myself and it's just not the same. I am from Ireland currently living in the UK while in my final year at univeersity. Currently my dissertation and other assignments eat my life away! but I do play in the evenings when I can. Once university is done I'll have more time to play.
