  1. First let me start by saying I am a huge Arma 2 fan and always recommend it to friends and anyone I happen to be talking to about gaming and especially shooters. Bohemia Interactive has a fan and a customer for life. I am writing this post to ask the community if they are as disapointed as I am about the low resolution ground textures used in Take On Helicopters? It was mentioned during beta that for a simulation that is mostly flown low and slow that bad ground textures really pull you out of the game and hurt the experience. I agree with this completely. The year is 2011 and as a flight sim enthusiast since 1990 I am still hoping and waiting for that fly over my own house and land in the back yard experience. I think most people who fly sims are hoping for that experience one day. I know the technology is still not there but the ground resolutions used for one city in Take On Helicopters was a huge letdown for me personally. I have read all the reviews I can find and they all describe the terrain as lacking and low resolution for such a sim. I am hoping a mod maker or maybe even Bohemia will release an update that will bring the ground detail to a level that Google or Bing Maps use. I can't imagine I am the only one who felt this way when they fired up the sim for the first time. I am interested in others thoughts on this. Please destroy me or just let me know what you think.
  2. I am currently having an issue where the MMA Rearm system doesn't refill my rockets or aircraft gun ammunition. Is there a trick to get MMA Rearm to refill the rockets and gun ammo?
  3. I was curious if there was a way to increase the brightness of the MFDs in aircraft cockpits? Allot of them seem to go black at certain angles with the sun. Is there an area in the aircraft files that can be tweaked to increase the brightness of these MFDs? Thank you in advance.
  4. No. That's as high as Arma 2 goes for the new 27 inch LCD. My 24 inch works perfectly. I am stumped. I will try your suggestion. Thanks.
  5. I managed to get game to run fine off of my laptop hooked up to this new 27 inch monitor. I still cannot figure out why the game will nor let me run at anything higher than 1920x1080x16 on my main desktop machine. I had to take out my old 24 inch monitor to run the game at a decent resolution. I am running the game with a GTX 480 video card. Is there any tricks I can try with the nVidia control panel? Anyone else have this problem with the 27 inch Synchmaster? I am runnning out of ideas on this one.
  6. I am trying to play Arma 2 using a Samsung SynchMaster P2770H LCD at 1920x1080 but I am having a problem. When I go into the game I have it set at 1920x1080x32 but the screen flickers like the refresh rate is set wrong. The only other resolution settings are lower and look horrible. I am trying to figure out why the game flickers so badly under the monitors native resolution of 1920x1080. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set the monitor or the game so it doesn't give that aweful refresh rate flickering effect?
  7. Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is a script available to get a land based vehicle Medevac system into any of my missions. I am mainly interested in the Humvee ambulance with medical personnel on board. I know there has got to be a way to get a land vehicle out to your location like a chopper already does. My missions are taking place on the military bases or close enought for ground transport. A "base attack" and "front gate attack" type scenario. I would like to have a full medical setup on base with the hospital objects and full first aid modules running. Has anyone put something together like this yet or is it easy to do from scratch? Will it be impossible to have the vehicle follow roads until it gets close to your location? I also noticed a stretcher and body bag in the "Magic Box". Can the stretcher be used to get the victims to a road where the ambulance can load them and get them back to base? I have a million questions on this so please don't slam me too hard for them. Thank you in advance for any helpful advice and points in the right direction. Ordy
