For benny or gossamer warfare you can set the parameter to have more than 1 base. Which means after you set up a base, you can mobilize your hq to make another one somewhere else if you have enough supplies. Both warfare needed to be run as dedicated server or it wont work properly.

try benny warfare or gossamer warfare, remember to run a dedicated server 1st or it wont run properly. Numbers of AI's can be adjusted using the parameter after you voted yourself as admin along with tons of other settings..

I think you cant hear him because you are not listening to him using the radio, the one that you heard is direct talk. It's the one which you can hear enemy player talking if you are close enough. I havent played with mod for a while so i forgot the radio mod name, my guess is they are using that maybe. But yeah, playing with a group gives you a different experience. But you can still find vanilla warfare servers for public on each continent, Australia have GON server, Europe XR server and etc that's bound to have players playing on it unless it's sleeping hour. Load up vanilla and play around with the filter and sort using ping, that will usually point you to nearest warfare server easily.

i would recommend for you to stay away from ace if you are still new, use only sound an eye candy mod like JSRS and Blastcore for now. Most online public servers allow this mod. Use vanilla if you are still looking for a serve rthat suits you. Once you found one that you like, look up for their forum. Usually they will have a list of mods allowed on their servers. When you want more realism, then start using ACE. Then it's already time to join a clan/group for a much better online experience.

yep, BAF missions is really good. my suggestion : try the tutorial, play armory for a bit to get used to the weapons and controls. watch warfare tutorial on youtube and jump in warfare online servers. you will get hooked

you need to run pure vanilla without any mod path for it to appear or add -@acr to the mod shortcut if i'm not mistaken if you are using other mods.

Can you confirm if only arma or all game/apps behaves like this, because there is a win7 issue called losing focus. I got it a while ago, a real pain to troubleshoot. It's like an automatic alt+tab that happened randomly.

Ah i've been planning to try this but havnet got to it yet, maybe your trial have expired? instead of testing it on arma, u can just test it on a notepad and see if arma or vac itself is the problem

You should play this game as if you only have 1 life, it works great even when playing PvP online and even BF3 XD

i had this once, but it affecting all applications not just arma2. It's called losing focus on my win7. Found the culprit is a software that forcing everything to switch to it since it wants attention. Finding it is hard, you need to stop the apps 1 by 1 to find which is the culprit. in my case, its the wifi software that i install is what causing it. uninstall it and it fix my issue.

I always send out 1 or 2 man recon team on stealth and hold fire in-front. Your AI have limited detection range but with AI teammates relaying enemy info they can be quite lethal. As commander of a group of AI, using binocs to spot the enemy is much better than you shooting them by yourselves. If you have AI on vehicles, position them on high ground far away from the strike unit and they can provide a really good fire support. Recon unit on stealth will relay the enemy location, AI assault unit will assault,moving while firing and the vehicles will provide a devastating fire support from afar. Ambush or base assault, if you have played the final mission for the BAF campaign this tactic works really well. Use stealth and hold fire and creep to a nice high ground overlooking the base. Wait until all your AI start to report enemy positions. You can also assign targets to them, especially AT units to take out armor and support vehicles. Assign snipers to take out enemy team leaders with binoculars and etc. Use binoculars to find new enemies and relaying them to your AI. Unleash hell and enjoy the show.

i'm not using steam so i'm not sure if it's the same but if you run arma 2 icon you'll only get arma 2 same as OA icon. You need to run Combined Operation to get everything loaded.

you might want to get a power regulator or an UPS if you are concerned about unstable power supply.

you should get a ssd to install arma 2 on, makes a lot of difference even on low end pc.

if i'm not mistaken, the mission will end after you killed the 2 tanks patrolling the roads. But you need to destroy the building and a hidden armor 1st.

It's really easy actually and wont be a problem if you're running it for 3-4 players. 1. Download the Benny warfare .pbo file and copy it to the multiplayer folder 2. Goto arma 2 folder and run arma2oaserver.exe (or something like that if i forget the actual name). A grey box will pop up and you can see the server loading text. 3. Start arma 2 CO and go to multiplayer and look for server with your pc name (you can click local if you cant see it) 4. Get in the server and vote yourself as admin 5. Now you can select missions and change parameter for any MP mission that you have you can get some friends to join in since it will be in public but you cant save the game. If you dont run these MP missions using dedicated, it wont run properly and you cant change the param. This way you can play almost any MP games that you see without joining a public server, good for practicing or just messing around. Any online server that you join will also have the pbo file in your cache folder. Look for it in arma 2 mydocument folder, just copy this pbo to your MP folder and you can run it on your pc. Dont work for some missions like dayz or life rpg games tho.

Adding some more ideas:- 1. Customizing carrier through upgrade - via tech tree - Choose between speed or heavier armor, firepower or superior detection system, Close range fighting capabilities or long range arty barrage to help capping island and many2 more to give players high replay value and surprise element if MP is implemented later (a big if =/ ). Upgrades should reflect on the carrier physical structure so a recon unit can try to guess what type of carrier is his team going against. Adding dummy structure to fool the enemy by using resource to build dummy armor while the carrier is speed oriented will be practical too. Advance radar detection should have advance looking radar mast, sacrificing a few flak guns for arty cannons and so on. You cant have it all but have to choose which path to go with each gameplay.
