Recently I've started to get the following error when attempting to launch ACE mod: "Error creating Direct3D 9 Graphical engine" The issue only exists when trying to run ACE, the regular game works fine. Any help regarding this situation is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Okay, I just did a full reinstall in the hopes it might solve the problem, however now I can't even launch Combined Ops (steam user).

Tried it, still giving me the same error.

Here's another one for the list... I'm currently unable to play on my group's ARMA 2 Combined Ops server since the new patch was released. My version reads 1.59, their version shows to be 1.59 and after I attempt to connect, I get kicked out with the message "Session Lost." I've updated both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA to their newest patch versions. Any ideas/suggestions on what's going wrong and how to fix it?

Okay, after about an hour of tinkering about, I managed to come up with a way to reliably launch CO with ACE mods. Please note I purchased Operation Arrowhead and ARMA 2 seperately from eachother, not in the Combined Operations pack. So my method may be different, I haven't done all the research. What I did: I went all the way into the following folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead from there I located a file named _runA2CO.cmd From there I created a shortcut and placed it on my desktop, then clicked the "edit" function and it opened a notepad. I scrolled down and found the following line: :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" All I did was add the necessary extensions to the necessary -mod area, so basically it looks like this now :runs "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca;@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_SM;@ACEX_RU;@ACEX_USNAVY" And from there you just run the command line and it should launch your Combined Operations with ACE.

I've checked the FAQ section on installation and it hasn't been much help other than telling me to use one of the launchers built into add-on sync or the sixer update suite. As I stated before when I used the add-on sync launcher, I had to exit the game completely and re-launch from the add-on sync in order to go to another CO server. I'm looking for a way to launch it through other means and not have to go all the way back out to a launcher in order to get my files working properly. My games are run through steam and I'm currently unable to find a shortcut path for CO, but I have one for Arma 2 and OA seperately.

Never heard of that but I suppose I may look into it. I'd still prefer to be able to run it through normal means. I tried launching through the Addon Sync's built in launcher, but it only seems to work for connecting to specific servers. When I disconnect from the origin server and attempt to go to other MP servers, the game seems to have reverted to OA with ACE instead of being CO with ACE.

Okay, I'm having trouble getting ACE2 to work with Combined Operations. I can get it to work for regular ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead, but I can't seem to figure out what I need to do in order to get it to run for Combined Operations. I run Combined Operations through the menu option on Steam when I launch through the Operation Arrowhead game.
