Chernarus+ is a map specifically re-designed for DayZ with several immersion elements that wouldn't fit into Arma, to be honest. Additionally, Regarding the other kind of engine changes, I'm quite sure that Arma will soon benefit from those that can be used (e.g. new animation skeleton).

Hello RavenMorpheus, even with the game having had its proper release, the team is still working on it to improve and add new features and content. The development branch represents the current state of development and servers as a public testbed for experimental fixes, additions and improvements. If you're having problems with downloading data, that's unfortunately hard luck on your end. You are free to switch to the stable branch and only receive the major and tested patches. Most servers run this version anyways. Before more people jump on your neck, I'll close this thread.
