Can someone suggest me some sound settings to make Arma 3 sound much better with my G35 headsets?

When I attempt to install the 1.08 update to Arma 2, it tells me that I don't have Arma 2 installed on my computer. However, I am able to load Arma 2 and play it with no errors at all. How do I fix this issue? I bought Arma 2: OA first from Direct 2 Drive, then I saw a sale on Sprocketidea and purchased Arma 2 from that website. I downloaded the 1.00 to 1.08 patch from the Arma main website.. Just some added information for those who can help me. When I load Arma 2, I see the version is 1.05.. I could really use the help because I think I need to patch Arma 2 in order to combine Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA. ---------- Post added at 11:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:56 PM ---------- After I spent about 30 minutes to an hour, I found a fix. I learned that Sprocketidea does not create a registry file when you install the game. So here is what you need to do. - Go to "start" and then select "run" - Enter "Regedit" - Browse the options until you find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and double click on it, then look for "SOFTWARE", then look for the "Bohemia Interactive Studio" file and double click on it. Finally, click on the Arma 2 folder. - Check to see if you have "MAIN" in your registry. If you don't have "MAIN" in there, you will need to create it. - Look at the top of the window where is says "Edit" and click on it. You will then want to look for "NEW" and it should pop open another window. You then want to click on "String Value". - Once you have click on "String Value", you will see that you can make a string. Type in "MAIN" as the file name and then just click on the white area to save it. - Now you will want to right click "MAIN" and click on "MODIFY". Under value, enter the location where you installed Arma 2. For an example: C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Or C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 The first one is for 32bit and the second one would be for 64bit... Hopefully this helps the people who are having this issue.

How can I test the Hu-H1 helicopter on the cherno map?

So the server I play on hasn't updated to 1.62.. How do I go back to 1.60 so I can play on my favorite server until it gets updated?

I didn't make a backup. Guess I will just reinstall. At least I don't have to re-download the game as I still have the install setup files.

Arma 2 online has been disabled for maintenance. In all of my 2 years of playing this game, I've never seen that before...

Haven't played Arma in about a week, came back and this error is crashing my game every time I attempt to join a server.. It was fine before.. What's going on?

I reinstalled Arma 2 today and I am attempting to install the latest patch. It's telling me the file is corrupted every time I try to extract to. I am downloading the one from the official Arma 2 website.

Oh no, I know it has something to do with my graphics.. Because when I figure out where the enemy is (By following the bullet tracers) I still can't see the enemy body, just the tracers from his gun.

Okay.. I am running into this issue when I am playing this game. If I am in a helicopter and my Pilot says that he sees someone running on the ground, I can't see anything. What do I need to adjust in my graphics options in order to see things at a further distance? I have a 560 TI graphics card.

I guess I don't understand your question. I play in multiplayer and we will be in the air at about 400 altitude and he will come over the headset and tell me he sees another player on the ground while I can't see anyone. The only way I know where they are at is when they shoot at us and then I just follow the bullet tracers.

I would say about 400 altitude.

When I load the launcher, the icon on my task bar will show, but I don't see anything on the desktop. It was working before, but now it isn't. Any help? I tried to reinstall it, but it did not fix it.

What is the best sound mod out there? Just looking for a sound mod that gives me the most realistic experience.

Thanks. I'm trying out the JSRS.. So far it's decent, but the explosions sound like little firecrackers. I blew up a truck and all I could think of was baby firecrackers. lol

I've been playing a lot lately with some friends and I ran into a issue. When my friends tell me they hear a car or gun shot, I don't hear anything. Or say there is a explosion 800 meters away, they can hear it, but I can't. I have my sample rate to 128 and I downloaded a sound mod that was suggested to me.. How can I fix this issue?

What are some of the top addons these days? I have the DayZ zombie one, what are some other MP mods that are very good to get?

I have been flying around in the A-10. I am able to fly it without crashing, but would like some tips on using the weapons. I assume when I click on TAB and then I hear a fast beep noise, that means I am locked on the target, right? Also, what does the GBU-12 weapon do and how do you accurately use it?

Will the Logitech Attack 3 flight stick work with Arma2?

I think I am an pretty at flying the helicopters, but I am not so good at transporting troops to a safe location. I open my map and set a waypoint to where I think would be a safe place to land troops, but almost every time I get shot at by the enemy and my Helicopter engine dies and we crash. It doesn't matter if I am 1,000M away from the mission, if I land behind a hill, or if I am very low to the ground. The enemy always finds a way to shoot me out of the air with their guns, very rare that they shoot rockets at me. Is there some trick that I haven't figured out? I really like transporting people because it is fun and I feel like it is very helpful. Any tips would be awesome. =)

Most of the time I am able to land safely if the engine stops working.

When I use the in game headset, people say they can hear static, but not my voice. However, when I play other games or am on Vent or a program like that, people can hear me just fine. I have the mic volume set to high so I don't know what is going on.

When I am shot in this game, I am unable to get up and run off. However, I could shoot an enemy (AI) in his legs and he still gets up and runs off. Another odd thing. Why does it take more then one shot to kill someone with the M24, and what looks to be the famous 50 cal sniper rifle? I can hit an AI target in the chest about 300 yards away, then the AI runs off a few feet from where I hit him, he then goes prone and crawls around like nothing hit him. I don't know much about weapons, but I know enough that one hit from the M24 and 50 cal sniper rifle will own you. Heck, can't the 50 cal shoot through a steel plate about 1 mile away? I'm not sure if these are bugs, but it's not very realistic watching an AI get shot in his leg run off like nothing happened, or an AI getting shot with a high powered sniper rifle acting like nothing happened. What are your thoughts about this?
