  1. Mutants fought each other on my game 'till I realized that forgot to "shut down" Charon's Undead mod. Check if you are running some mod that affects AI default behavior
  2. @Sumrak Then I must be using some addon that is interfering... I'll check!
  3. Been messing with modules and units in the editor. Mutants Zombies spawn module Now a request: if you ever do mutant dogs and hogs like Charon did with his infected dog you will make (again) my day. :bounce3: Keep up Sumrak, this mod is superb!
  4. No doubt Sumrak. This is AAA rated: astonishing, amazing, awesome! I've followed the development of this project since day 0 and it keeps getting better and better with each new release. Thank you very much for kindly giving this to the comunity! Hats off mate!
  5. This is superb! I restarted the mission 3 times and got 3 different layouts for mission 1, excellent :D Now forgiveme if somebody else pointed out before since i didn't read the whole thread: weather changes are just too hard. Thanks a lot for sharing your work !
  6. Here. Generally speaking performance has worsen a lot (FPS drops, heavy texture swap...) since 79xxx builds, especially on 79321 build. I've downgraded to 78413 and it runs smooth and easy, so though I really appreciate AI improvements on latest betas 79 series are a no go for me. Specs-> OS: Win XP 32 bit (SP2) Mainboard: ASUS P6T CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz RAM: 4GB GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5870 (Catalyst 10.8) Sound: M-Audio 2496
  7. Awesome! environment sounds like beign there. Tanks a lot Anders!
  8. Ok, I tested a lot with this beta, with and without mods, and game is runing fine in my system except for this LOD flickering occurring at a distance around 500 m (viewdistance in my settings is 2288). No more freezing or CTDs and massive frame drops are gone. Regarding the vsync facts I previosly stated, the action of enabling or disabling it while ingame actually stresses the system and trouble happens but when starting the game with vsync enabled everything works as expected, very smooth. RAM usage in 1.54 was around 1.6 GB, with 1.55 the system was paging stuff up to 2.5 GB. Now we're back at usual levels OS: Win XP 32 bit (SP2) Mainboard: ASUS P6T CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz RAM: 4GB GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5870 (Catalyst 10.8) Sound: M-Audio 2496

    Patch 1.55 Issues

Hey, nobody is happy with the mess 1.55 caused, including the guys at BIS. If they delayed PMC release is just because they're adressing the problem. Releasing the quick 75666 beta was a kind move to the comunity, and makes the game playable... at least it is not freezing anymore. Give it a try -if you have not- meanwhile BIS works 1.56 out Regards
  10. I also experience this "funny" LOD switching though game runs better with this beta patch, still ingame vsync overides my GPU settings while I can enforce AA and AF no matter what settings I have ingame. OS: Win XP 32 bit (SP2) Mainboard: ASUS P6T CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz RAM: 4GB Corsair GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5870 (Catalyst 10.8) Sound: M-Audio 2496

    Patch 1.55 Issues

Pacth 1.54 gave good performance for me. With 1.55 I've experienced system lock ups, inconsistent frame rate, texture LOD switching at close distance sometimes not switching at all for 5-10 seconds. However the worst for me is ingame vsync since before I had it enforced by the GPU and performance was just great. Now Arma vsync overides my GPU settings and I must enable it ingame thus killing my FPS and causing stuttering :( My system: OS: Win XP 32 bit (SP2) Mainboard: ASUS P6T CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz RAM: 4GB Corsair GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5870 (Catalyst 10.8) Sound: M-Audio 2496
  12. I set up a mission in editor and once a firefight started two of my units got stuck in combat mode and refussed to join me or move. I feared the bug that prevented units in combat/stealth move along was still present but eventually they moved to our position. I reckon this as a feature since now AI's do not get blasted anymore because they poped up their heads when the zone is crawling with enemy. Btw, it was a simple mission made up using DAC consisting in a USMC reinfroced platoon holding a hill (podagorsk island) against 2 mechanized company sized elements... pretty intense situation when it was all over I could not find a single tree without a bullet hole, so give this patch an opportunity. BIS did a good job (excepting the sluggish way the choppers are flying now) with it. Regards
